Materials Handling EURASIA renamed “CeMAT EURASIA”

As announced by Deutsche Messe at an Istanbul press conference on 18 March, the “Materials Handling EURASIA” trade fair has been renamed as “CeMAT EURASIA”. “Within the scope of our global brand management strategy, the time has now come to establish CeMAT EURASIA in Turkey,” stated Wolfgang Pech, Senior Vice President at Deutsche Messe. He continued: “We have been staging Materials Handling EURASIA as part of WIN EURASIA Automation for the past 15 years, and with great success. Over this period we have succeeded in turning Materials Handling EURASIA into the leading intralogistics trade fair for the entire region. We are now building on this success in the shape of CeMAT EURASIA.”

CeMAT EURASIA 2017 will be staged from 16 to 19 March as part of WIN EURASIA Automation in Istanbul – an event which features a total of 1,500 exhibitors on some 30,000 square meters of space, making it Turkey’s largest industrial exhibition.

CeMAT EURASIA is supported both by the Association for Materials Handling and Intralogistics within VDMA (the German Engineering Federation) as well as the Turkish intralogistics association ISDER. Both organizations expressed their enthusiasm over having a future CeMAT event in Turkey. “CeMAT is the world’s leading platform for intralogistics and supply chain management. Attaching this label to the Istanbul-based trade fair is proof of the event’s quality and reputation throughout the region,” commented Sascha Schmel, Managing Director of the VDMA’s Materials Handling and Intralogistics Association.
