"We decided to use the Bobcat rotary telehandler because it meets all the requirements needed to work within these confined spaces. It has a small turning radius and is extremely compact; even jacked up on the stabilizers, its width is not significantly increased. Safety and reliability are a top priority at Bobcat, not least for the operator,” commented Mr Kruse, the site manager for Dieter Knebusch Bauausführungs GmbH.
AdvertisementThe TR35160 will operate on the site with a crane boom and cable winch, pallet fork and bulk loader bucket attachments. The operator can control all the attachments, where required, with an electronic remote control system. This is particularly advantageous in the Lauenburg town centre with its confined spaces and restricted visibility. Offering a rotation of 400°, the rotary telehandler is continuously monitored by an automatic load sensing system which takes into account whether or not the machine is jacked up on the stabilizers or operating in the mobile mode on wheels.
Thanks to the rotating booms, the new range of Bobcat rotary telehandlers can carry out many different jobs on a construction site from the same position. Set up and ready for action within just a few minutes, they offer exceptional stability for lifting heavy materials vertically onto a roof or horizontally into the farthest corners of the site, thus reducing time and costs while increasing safety and efficiency.
As well as the attachments being used on the Elbe Museum site, the TR35160 rotary telehandler can be fitted with a wide variety of other Bobcat attachments such as a man platform, extension jibs and more buckets for general handling of building materials. Fitted with these attachments, the TR35160 combines all the advantages of a conventional telehandler with those of a light and versatile rotary crane.
Dieter Knebusch Bauausführungs GmbH purchased the company’s TR35160 rotary telehandler from the Siloco Bobcat dealership in Hamburg. Siloco provides its customers with an excellent service, backed by a rental fleet of over 20 telehandlers. Trained service staff are also available from the Bobcat training centre at short notice when required.
