Introducing the GMD 15030, the largest mounted disc mower on the market with an exceptional, 14.50-metre working width.

Exclusive! The largest mounted disc mower on the market, KUHN’s GMD 15030, is now available. Its 14.50-metre working width, combined with a 3.10-metre front unit, is capable of extremely high work output.

Despite this impressive working width, it is compact in transport mode, for safe road travel, including when combined with a 3.10-metre front mower. Indeed, it is a similar size to KUHN’s other models of triple mower, which do not exceed 3 metres in width and 4 metres in height for transport.

The mower has 4 aligned cutter bars which hold 7 discs. Its patented gearbox is designed for optimum transport compactness and efficient power transmission at work. In addition, it is articulated between each cutter bar for improved ground following.

To control the machine, the operator can choose between the simple and user-friendly KFA 12 control box and the « ISOBUS MOWER CONTROL » kit. With the kit, all machine functions can be controlled via an ISOBUS terminal and an AUX-N joystick, which provide increased user comfort. It is, therefore, possible to manage headland turns, machine folding and unfolding etc., with these controls.

The mower is equipped with OPTIDISC ELITE cutter bars renowned for being robust and requiring no maintenance. It also comes with the FAST-FIT knife-attachment system which limits downtime.

If the machine meets an obstacle, the exclusive LIFT-CONTROL system, combined with the NON-STOP safety system, pivots the mowing unit rearwards, giving it extra floatation capacity and making it easier to pass over the object. The mowing unit moves back into work position automatically once it has past the obstacle.

Finally, the GMD 15030’s weight is limited to 3.8 tonnes, just like a conventional belt mower, so, depending on conditions, 230 horsepower is sufficient to drive it.
