Forecasting and analysis functions for calculable, optimised grassland harvesting
HARVEST ASSIST from Pöttinger organises processes, displays farms and fields, plans the harvesting sequence, directs harvest machines, and coordinates delivery to the clamp. This intuitive app is the simple answer to the complex question of "Who does what, when, and where, to maximise forage harvesting efficiency?" It forecasts grassland yields in real time, displays the location of bales, swath patterns, swath condition, and much more. It is also possible to analyse and evaluate the status of each machine as well as data from the field.
This information is shared with each driver in the harvest team whenever they need it. The result is a significant increase in the performance of follow-up machines, leading to an improvement in the entire process, which is clearly displayed as machine utilisation, time savings and harvesting efficiency.
With the 4.0 release, which will be rolled out in Germany in March 2026, the app will receive a new forecast feature. Release 4.1 – which will be rolled out worldwide in August 2026 includes new features like forecasting, analysis and connectivity.
HARVEST ASSIST forecast rakes in a stack of data
The new HARVEST ASSIST forecast function collects and supplies valuable data even before harvesting begins. Yield and dry matter content are forecast using current satellite and climate data. It can even simulate crop development five days into the future. The data is clearly presented and can be displayed with just one click. Recommendations are provided in real time for the storage space needed, silage additive requirements, mowing sequence, and tedder deployment for optimised drying in the field.

Everyone in the harvest team benefits from live machine data
Machines that are equipped with the PÖTTINGER CONNECT telemetry unit transmit field data such as the number of swaths, swath condition, warnings of critical points in the swath with a risk of dragging, bale locations and bale moisture to the harvest team.
In planning mode, HARVEST ASSIST coordinates the deployment of machines in the harvest team to get maximum efficiency and optimum machine utilisation. The app navigates the drivers to each field, and because machines are tracked, each team member can see where the others are at any time. Coordination is simple and intuitive because it is just like using one of the popular messaging apps.
HARVEST ASSIST Analysis provides continuous documentation
The new analysis function supports farmers, contractors, and machinery rings in making things much easier when it comes to invoicing, mandatory documentation, process monitoring, driving time, yield data, and evaluating profit margins.
The HARVEST ASSIST app works on all standard smartphones.
