New generation of electric Strautmann fodder mixing wagons

• Strautmann is introducing a new machine series, the e-Verti-Feed, a fully electric battery-driven fodder mixing wagon with a driving unit and integrated driver's stand, at this year's Agritechnica.

• The e-Verti-Feed is designed for small and medium-sized businesses, offering a compact design, maximum manoeuvrability, and formidable performance, powered by a high-voltage battery with a 40 kWh storage for extended working periods.

• The e-Verti-Feed can handle up to 10 tons of mixed fodder without additional charging, and can be charged via a standard 16A or 32A socket, enabling charging times of less than 6 hours.

• The machine is equipped with a hydraulic traction drive and large-sized tyres for use on various subsoils and slopes, and is powered by a 46 kW electric motor for the hydraulic unit and mixer drive.

• The e-Verti-Feed features an individually adjustable driver's stand, an intelligent control set E-Control, a rear-view camera, and a weighing device for comfortable and clear operation.

• The control system of the e-Verti-Feed, developed by Strautmann, combines an intelligent battery management system with a new development between a towed and a self-propelled fodder mixing wagon.

• The e-Verti-Feed, available as a one-auger mixer with a usable mixing capacity of 10-12.5 m3, is set to go into series production following intensive testing in 2023 and 2024, with the launch planned for Eurotier 2024.

On the occasion of this year's Agritechnica, Strautmann is presenting a completely new machine series. The Strautmann e-Verti-Feed. This is a fully electric battery-driven fodder mixing wagon with driving unit and integrated driver's stand.

Strautmann continues to focus on sustainable and forward-looking drive technology to ensure safe and efficient feeding of the animals for the farmers. After presenting the self-propelled, fully electric battery-driven fodder mixing wagon e-Primus last year, Strautmann is displaying the next innovation this year. The Strautmann e-Verti-Feed.

The eVerti-Feed, in particular developed for small and medium-sized businesses, excels by compact design and maximum manoeuvrability with formidable performance at the same time. A powerful high-voltage battery with a 40 kWh storage enables even longer working periods with up to 10 t of mixed fodder without additional charging, making the e-Verti-Feed a versatile assistant for use in agricultural businesses. The system is charged via a standard 16A or 32A socket, enabling charging times of less than 6 hours.

Apart from silent feeding, the machine can be used on almost all subsoils and slopes. The hydraulic traction drive in combination with all-terrain and large-sized tyres enables overcoming of sloping stable entrances and turning of the machine on the spot. The hydraulic unit is driven by a powerful electric motor of up to 46 kW. The mixer drive is powered by an electric motor with a top performance of up to 46 kW as well. The eVerti-Feed is controlled from an individually adjustable driver's stand. A newly developed intelligent control set E-Control as well as a rear-view camera and a weighing device are installed in close proximity to the operator for comfortable and clear operation. The control system, an in-house development by Strautmann, combines an intelligent BMS (battery management system) with an absolutely new development between a towed and a self-propelled fodder mixing wagon.

The Strautmann eVerti-Feed is available as a one-auger mixer with a usable mixing capacity of 10-12.5 m3. After intensive testing in practice in 2023 and 2024, the starting signal for series production is to be given on the occasion of the Eurotier 2024.
