New HCR product demonstrations

FRD Europe, in partnership with our dealer network, has performed demonstrations with HCR1400-ED, HCR1450-ED and HCR1600-ED models in the following countries during the last 12 months: Germany, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Norway, Finland, Sweden, UK and Belgium.

Hole sizes ranged between 76mm and 115mm, with typical hole depths between 15-26 m depending on customers’ requirements. Ground conditions encountered included Limestone, Granite, Grauwacke, Porphyry, Quartzite, Gabbro, Gneiss and Basalt.

As expected, results were very good and customers commented very positively on these. In addition, operators complimented the simplicity of use of the machine, with special reference also made to the ease of maintenance. Throughout this period several new machines have been delivered and customers are delighted with the reliability of the products, which is a real trademark of the Furukawa brand.

Case study: Sweden

HCR1400-ED drilled 89mm, 13-16m holes in a Granite quarry with the following results:

Drilling Penetration: 28.6 meters/hour measured on total meters and total engine hours

Fuel consumption: 0.62 liters/drilled meter

Case Study: Germany

HCR1600-ED drilled 94mm, 14m holes in a Grauwacke quarry with the following results:

Drilling Penetration: 47 meters/hour measured on total meters and total engine hours

Fuel consumption: 0.77 liters/drilled meter
