New Husqvarna K970 – powerful and reliable

Husqvarna continues its long tradition of providing users with powerful and reliable power cutters. The new Husqvarna K970 has an enhanced power-to-weight-ratio and offers optimised performance combined with a low weight and superior ergonomics.

”K970 is already an appreciated product and the new K970 is improved in a number of details in order to meet our customers’ high demands”, says Johan Simonsson, Global Product Manager Power Cutters, Husqvarna Construction Products.

One of many improvements is the optimised performance, where a new cylinder design and a new carburetor increase the power cutter’s capacity. At the same time, the new cylinder and a new muffler with integrated heat defector ensure optimal operating temperatures and make the machine less sensitive to variations in climate and fuel.

Ergonomics have also been improved with the new K970. On the 14” (350 mm) version of the machine, the new, lighter blade guard made of magnesium gives the cutter better balance and provides stepless guard adjustment. This makes operation and altering cutting positions easier.

The new blade guard includes a reversible blade bushing that allows you to easily switch between blades with different centre holes. In addition, the 14” version has a new wet cutting system in order to make dust control easier. The progressive valve has distinct end positions and progressive adjustment, which allows you to adjust the exact water volume to avoid an excess of water and slurry.

The low weight together with the optimised performance gives the machine enhanced power-to-weight ratio.

K970 is equipped with an X-Torq® engine, which, compared to conventional 2 stroke engines, lowers both emissions and fuel consumption. It also has a great startability with air purge and decompression valve.

The new K970 is ideal for heavier cutting of concrete and stone in alterations, renovations and new construction. It is perfect for cutting smaller holes and adjusting window and door openings, as well as for pipe, asphalt and metal cutting. It is also ideal for cutting of curbstones and pavers in landscaping.
