Minimise Dust with Husqvarna’s Wet Cutting Solutions

Husqvarna power cutters, including the popular K 760 all have an improved wet cutting system (DEX) that makes dust control easier. A progressive water valve allows exact adjustment of the water volume to efficiently bind the dust and reduce slurry. By dampening the dust it then stops it getting into the air. This wet cutting system works hand in hand with Husqvarna dust suppression accessories. Husqvarna offers a range of accessories to facilitate wet cutting that can be used whilst drilling and cutting, these include:

1. 1. WT 15 Battery powered water tank – The WT 15 is ideal when there is no link to water sources. It provides a constant water flow to minimise dust and slurry. The electric pump also means that no manual pumping is required.

2. 2. Pressurised water tank – This water tank holds 13.3 litres, by pumping the handle a few times it gives the required pressure. Its hose connects to the wet cutting kit on Husqvarna machines including power cutters and drilling equipment.

3. 3. Trolleys – The KV 760 and KV 970 trolleys both come with a 15 litre water tank as standard. Connecting directly to the wet cutting kit, these are specifically designed for Husqvarna power cutters.

Wet and Dry cutting with the same machine

The Husqvarna K 3000 Wet is an all-round electric power cutter that has an integrated regulator that controls the water volume, ensuring a constant flow to the blade. The amount of water is sufficient to bind the dust without creating an excess of water and slurry. With the optional Vac unit it transforms into a dry cutter that minimises dust. This needs to be used with the WT 15 for wet cutting or the DC 1400 dust collector for dry cutting.

The Husqvarna DC 1400 is a versatile dust collection unit that can be used for many different applications. This lightweight collector is equipped with an automatic dust filter cleaner which prevents clogging whilst working. The DC 1400 is a perfect complement to our K 3000 electric power cutter, DM 220 drill motor and PG 280 surface preparation machine.
