Kverneland Knock-on for plough shares will be launched at Agritechnica 2013, following the successful launch of the Knock-on for Kverneland cultivators.
This new patented Knock-on system consists of 2 parts :
• a holder fixed to a regular Kverneland share
• a Knock-on point
It is a unique solution with clear benefits to the farmers :
• Time saving : Knock-on for ploughs are changed within a 10th of the time required for a reversible point. In abrasive soils where points must be changed frequently, or when having a large plough, 5 furrows or more, saving 90% of your time makes sense.
• Easy : you only need 1 chisel and a hammer. 1 knock to remove it. 1 knock to fix the new point.
• Economic : Tests indicate that 75% of a Knock-on point can be worn before changing it instead of 60% for a reversible point. So there is more steel to wear, therefore they must be changed less frequently.
• Practical : as an average, the wearing logic is 1 Knock-on holder for 3 Knock-on points. The wearing of the share corresponds to the wearing of the Knock-on holder. Therefore, there is no need spending time to remove the bolts of the Knock-on holder. Save time by fitting a new share and knock-on holder at the same time.
• Good penetration and low pulling force : Knock-on has been tested in several soil conditions. Even in the hardest soils, the points ensure a good penetration.
Furthermore, Kverneland bodies are renowned for low pulling forces in comparison with competitors’ mouldboards. With Knock-on points, the pulling forces are still low and hence the fuel consumption.
• Versatile : Knock-on holders and points are identical for Kverneland ploughs and Kverneland cultivators. When purchasing several points or Knock-on systems for your plough, you can also use them for your Kverneland cultivator.
• Low wearing rate : Steel standards used for the Knock-on benefit from the unsurpassed Kverneland steel technology. No compromise !
Kverneland Knock-on for plough shares will definitely make the life of farmers easier and agriculture more profitable !
