Designed specifically for use with MF Activa, MF Activa S, MF Beta, MF Centora and MF Delta combine harvesters, the CornFlow headers deliver high capacity for faster harvesting and exceptional performance in laid crops, with reduced header and cob losses. The range includes eight new models offering a choice of six- and eight-row, rigid and folding models, with 70cm or 75cm row spacings.

All the headers are available in rigid or folding formats, providing transport widths of 3m for the six-row and 3.5m on the eight-row.

Massey Ferguson CornFlow headers are manufactured by leading specialist, Capello, and are designed conjunction with Massey Ferguson. Capello is one of the major maize header manufacturers in the world and is well-respected for its design expertise and high quality engineering.

“The MF CornFlow range extends Massey Ferguson’s full-line strategy,” says Adam Sherriff, Market Development Manager. “This provides customers with a ‘one stop shop’ enabling them to select a specialist maize header that has been designed and built specifically for the combine. They can also be assured they receive the same back-up and service from their local Massey Ferguson dealer.”

A wide range of options including stalk plates, stalk chopper and automatic height control skids allow users to tailor their MF CornFlow header to suit their specific crops, harvesting and field conditions.

Designed for use with Massey Ferguson combines, exclusive MF CornFlow features include a welded HookUp attachment, rather than bolted, as well as ‘plug ‘n play’ connection, plastic chain covers and sealed folding units. Continuous, smooth feeding is assisted by standard table auger paddles and side augers.

“The MF CornFlow range provides Massey Ferguson customers with exclusive features, including Massey Ferguson styling, which ensure the headers are the perfect match for their Massey Ferguson combine harvester,” adds Mr Sherriff. “They also benefit from an existing well-proven and reliable design, which has earned the respect of farmers and contractors across the world.”

The innovative hood, made from technopolymer, is light and impervious to wear. The modern material and design encourages smooth crop flow, even in the most difficult conditions. It also absorbs knocks from the ears, even at high speeds, which helps cut crop losses.

A unique deck plate design uses a bevelled and rolled edge, which reduces crop damage and extends the working life. The deck plate incline, combined with large bats on the gathering chains reduces kernel loss by carrying any loose grains up into the auger tray.

Standard hydraulic adjustment allows operators to instantly change the deck plate position settings from the cab. A unique idler sprocket for the gathering chains is moulded from polyurethane, which is far more durable than steel.

Reliability is further enhanced by the heavy-duty chains, with O-ring seals and chrome alloy rollers. Along with the completely sealed, roller bearings, the whole system is completely maintenance free.

The addition of the chopper option, which is driven from the row unit gearbox, delivers several post-harvest benefits. Mower-style blades cut the stalks at an angle and lacerate the stems, which promotes faster breakdown in the soil. This ensures trash does not hinder following operations and can help prevent ‘hair pinning’ with disc coulters on drills.

Alternatively, the Stalk Plate option employs large plates to press the material down, with an adjustable support bracket allowing operators to set the pressure on the ground.

MF CornFlow headers will available through the Massey Ferguson Dealer network across its Europe and Middle East region.
