Under the Roof of Four Subject Pillars, Competence and Communication Will Be Bundled in a Stronger Way
DEUBAUKOM at Messe Essen on January 15 - 18, 2014
DEUBAU, the most important construction trade fair for the Western Germany area and the adjacent Benelux regions, has a rich tradition and is changing its face. With a relaunch of the concept and the appearance, Messe Essen is making DEUBAU fit for the future. With the Federal Ministry of Transport, Construction and Urban Development as the patron, it will go to the starting line as the "new" DEUBAU under its new name DEUBAUKOM for the first time on January 15 - 18, 2014, with a four-day duration (from Wednesday to Saturday) adjusted to the fair period customary in the sector.
Four "competence pillars" will form the content-related main focal point of DEUBAUKOM: They will encompass the core sections: "Architecture and Engineering", "Housing Industry", "Building Trade" and "Industrial Construction". Here, subject-specific and product-specific competence centres will invite the market partners to exchange information. In addition to established exhibition subjects, the spotlight will be put on modern construction trends with a promising future.
Not only the trade associations but also the exhibitors will provide competent contact points, will introduce innovations here in a way specific to target groups and will present practical solution possibilities for the diverse tasks of planning and construction. Orientation will be facilitated by the clear allocation of the fair halls.
Market Partners Will Come Together Quickly and Efficiently
The "competence centres" will form the central core points of the new concept. They will guarantee that the market partners will come together quickly and efficiently. "All-Round Carefree Packages" will give the exhibitors the possibility of participating in a competence centre with a ready-for-occupancy booth in the direct vicinity of the sectoral association in question. Moreover, a communication area located in the interior will create optimum conditions for maintaining contacts, for expert discussions and for lectures.
In total, there will be eight product-specific and subject-specific competence centres. Not only the Industrial Construction and Housing Industry subject pillars but also the Architecture section will present themselves in their own competence centres. The other competence centres will be entitled "Wood", "Roof", "Energy", "IT" and "Passive House". System solutions as well as examples of application and processing will be shown.
Comprehensive Supporting Programme Will Accompany DEUBAUKOM
A large number of congresses, seminars and symposia, embedded in subject days, will accompany DEUBAUKOM. Leading sectoral associations will use DEUBAUKOM in order to discuss subjects relevant to the construction industry - from the demographic change and the energy turnaround right up to globalisation and urbanisation. Thus, there will be an Architecture Day (January 15), a Netherlands Day (January 15), a Housing Industry Day (January 16) as well as an Industrial Construction Day (January 16).
Three Supplementary Main Subjects at DEUBAUKOM
In 2014, the construction trade fair rich in tradition will be supplemented by no fewer than three main subjects for the first time. DCONex will be dedicated to competent and cost-optimised pollutant management - a trend subject, above all, in conurbations where free construction areas are scarce and ever more significance is being attached to derelict sites as well as to contaminated land and properties. DCONex will be the first and only trade fair with a congress to bring together the suppliers and the clients dealing with pollutant analysis and decontamination, demolition and waste disposal as well as prevention and further education.
Challenges and solutions for the demographic change will be examined at Leben plus Komfort ("Living Plus Comfort"). In 2030, around one third of the German population will be older than 65 years of age and the need for barrier-free living space will rise immensely. Leben plus Komfort will network protagonists from architecture, the housing industry, local authorities and administration, industry, commerce and the skilled trades as well as the social, nursing and health sectors - not only with regard to the construction but also in relation to mobility, service and nursing.
The main subject of the infrastructure will be portrayed comprehensively at the civil engineering fair called InfraTech. Suppliers and decision takers in matters relating to civil engineering, road construction, hydraulic engineering, water & waste water, public town planning as well as transport and mobility will congregate here.
