The Fassi F120B and F125A cranes, the announcement of the Fassi F1950RAL+L816 crane. Also, the GAS (Grab Automatic Shake) for light range cranes and the S Series, a complete range developed for the German market
The preview of the F110B crane at the Saie 2012 sparked great interest, as will certainly happen again with the further expansion of the range in the 10 t/m segment with the presentation of the F120B and F125A models. The innovation consists of a lifting link positioned at the joint between the mast and the main jib (F120B.1) and, possibly, of a second lifting link (F120B.2) between the main jib and the secondary jib. The range will also feature a version with no lifting links, called F120B.0.
As for the F125A model, this is the first Fassi light-range crane that comes equipped with the exclusive ADC (Automatic Dynamic Control) device, which automatically controls the dynamic of all crane functions, providing the maximum speed depending on the applied load, for movements that are always under control and minimizing the structural stress on the crane and on the vehicle frame/counterframe. The weight, overall dimensions and performances are the same as the F120B, and there will be no version without lifting links. Thanks to the types of technological solutions adopted on these cranes, the F120B and the F125A are able to meet all kinds of operating needs. Specifically, they feature a 20% weight reduction and a 15% increase in the hydraulic reach in the .25 version; a 65% increase of the maximum load at the swivelling hook (in the version with two lifting links) and the combination of the hydraulic extension also on the .24 version as well. The new F120B.1/F120B.2 and F125A.1/ F125A.2 cranes are available in five versions for both ranges, identified by the numbers from .21 to .25, which correspond to the number of hydraulic booms (from one to five); the reach ranges from 5.7 metres on the .21 crane to the 14.1 metres on the .25.
The F1950RAL+L816 model (which unfortunately will not be displayed due to lack of space) features the largest reach ever developed by Fassi. In fact, it is the first crane to reach a height of 50 metres and moves away from the concept of the foldable front-mounted crane at idle since the crane stays flat on the caisson. The crane comes in the “full optional” electronic configuration; the basic version has eight hydraulic booms with lifting capacity of 127 t/m and a maximum hydraulic reach of almost 25 m which, if necessary, can be combined with the L816 hydraulic extension, with the same lifting capacity, but a hydraulic reach of 41.30 m that, with the hydraulic extensions, results in a total reach of over 50 m.
The S Series is a range designed above all for the German market, underscoring Fassi’s philosophy that aims at meeting the requests of each specific market through the offer of special ranges. A design experience that has evolved through the years and that, today, features three basic models and three models fitted with the XP. The main characteristics are lightness and speed, as well as Fassi’s exclusive of the manual XP.
The GAS (Grab Automatic Shake) device can be fitted on a large number of light-range cranes, from the F95A up to the F245A, and it is based on the software control of the grab movement when unloading materials. The advantages offered by this device are complete management of opening and closing movements with smooth actions, even at high speed, with no uncontrolled reactions and also useful for ensuring the ungluing of materials stuck to the walls of the grab.
