The new Zelon CFS forage wagon series replaces the Strautmann silage wagon series Super Vitesse which has been successfully sold for more than 25 years.

The Strautmann Zelon CFS silage wagons have been designed for challenging use in agricultural businesses with own machinery for gathering silage. The Zelon CFS silage wagon is equipped with the patented CFS unit for easy-towing and even charging with minimum power required.

The fodder is picked up via the uncontrolled pick-up with 5 tine rows and homogeneously conveyed to the rotor by means of the CFS roller. The Double-Cut cutting unit with its unique knife protection system, which is well known from larger series, is employed as well. The 32 knives with double-sided blade enable a theoretical cutting length of 44 mm and provide, in combination with the welded, wide tine plates on the rotor, an ideal cutting image with minimum power required.

Strautmann adopts new approaches with the drive concept of the rotor. An open gear with continuous grease lubrication transmits the driving power of the tractor to the conveying element.

The Zelon CFS is available as a forage wagon and as a forage wagon with dosing unit equipped with up to three dosing drums. Three different sizes with standard silage attachment with a capacity of 23, 27 or 31 m3 according to DIN are available. The vehicles are fitted with a boogie tandem axle assembly with a gross vehicle weight rating of 12 or 15 tonnes and can be equipped with an optional follow-up steering axle.
