From quickly eliminating leaks to the daily cleaning of production machinery: The new models of the IVM product line expand the Kärcher range of industrial vacuums and are tailored to the requirements of the food industry in combination with more than 100 accessories. All products comply with the requirements of use in medium-level hygiene areas, the materials used are smooth and break-proof. As an option, the IVM 40 model can also absorb combustible types of dust outside of ATEX zones in addition to fluids and loose dirt. Until now, this has only been possible with significantly more expensive vacuum cleaners that were certified for potentially explosive areas.

Just like in many other areas of manufacturing, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene is directly tied to commercial success in the food industry. In addition to the prescribed material properties of the products, the colour coding of the accessories also plays an important role. It makes it possible to assign different colours to different areas of production, thereby avoiding cross-contamination. All Kärcher accessories are securely attached so they cannot be lost thanks to various smart technical solutions. The star knob attached to the handles, for example, is stopped by a locking mechanism before it can be unscrewed all the way. This prevents it from accidentally being lost and no parts can enter the production machines. The range includes heat-resistant hoses and nozzles for hot suction waste and a cleaning kit for overhead cleaning of tubes. This equipment makes it easier to reach tubes and lines in industrial environments. It also renders working from ladders obsolete, and therefore improves safety.

The IVM 40 is a compact model equipped with two high-performance turbines, a container with a capacity of 40 litres and a manoeuvrable chassis. It is designed for work in smaller, narrow spaces or for shorter periods of work. The new Pull & Clean filter cleaning function is very easy to operate for the user. It uses a vacuum to remove stubborn particles from the filter. The IVM 40/24-2 is also ACD-compliant (appliance for combustible dust), which enables suctioning of combustible types of dust outside of ATEX zones. As a result, it is no longer necessary to invest in significantly more expensive ATEX-certified vacuum cleaners for these areas.

The two models IVM 60 and IVM 100 are slightly larger than the IVM 40, with container capacities of 60 and 100 litres, and are equipped with a motor with three high-performance turbines. This makes them suitable for longer periods of work and vacuuming larger quantities of dirt, for example for daily cleaning at the end of a production batch. The previously available IVM vacuum cleaners and the vacuum cleaners of the IVC, IVS and IVR ranges are also compatible with the new accessories, making it possible to combine a wide variety of product versions.
