New self-propelled sprayer DINO II – prototype

At the Agritechnica 2015, the DINO II was presented for the first time. In 2016 it received two medals at the TECHAGRO in Brno. The GRAND PRIX award was received for the overall concept of the self-propelled sprayer DINO and a silver medal was awarded for the electronic axle control system developed together with the CLAAS company.

At this year's Agritechnica, AGRIO will show the DINO how it is currently being tested at the customer's site. Thus, the prototype was delivered to a selected customer in order to thoroughly test the DINO at work.

Furthermore, further extensive tests are carried out at the factory, such as performance test of engine and hydraulics, as well as the stability at steep slopes.

Thus, many improvements and requests for changes have already been implemented in connection with the practitioners. The aim is not to test the DINO with the end customer, but to present a fully developed machine to future customers.

Probably from summer 2018 the DINO could be ordered in Germany.

Vehicle concept

The Dino II is a hydrostatic carrier vehicle. Its universal base frame is suitable for the construction of various devices, such as crop protection sprayers or fertilizer spreaders.

Cabine

Sound and vibration-dampened Claas comfort cabin (category 4), air-sprung driver's seat, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, windscreen washer, active carbon filter, radio, overpressure in the cabin, very good all-round visibility due to generous front and back side windows.

Engine

6-cylinder, 6.7 liter Iveco turbo diesel, 210 KW (285 hp), 1150 Nm / 1500pm Euronorm Tier IV final with diesel particulate filter

Drive

  • hydrostatic drive with Poclain wheel motors

  • oil brakes; guarantee highest quality and reliability as well as a very good braking effect

  • load sensing hydraulic system

  • boosted braking system ensures constant engine speed during braking

  • hydraulic differential lock on all four wheels

  • automatic engine speed monitoring protects against engine damage when driving downhill

  • road and field mode

  • four speeds 0-18 km/h, 0-22 km/h, 0-33 km/h, 0-50 km/h

  • automatic switching of the individual driving steps

  • road speed 0-50 km/h

Operation

  • Transfer of all engine data (temperature, speed, diesel consumption, oil levels, etc.) via CAN bus to the integrated vehicle terminal

  • CAN bus controlled hydraulic pumps ensure optimum control and low diesel consumption

  • cruise control

Steering

  • four different steering modes: front axle steering, rear axle steering, four-wheel steering, crab steering

  • automatic adaptation of the steering geometry for different track widths

  • possible track width from 2.25 m to 3.00 m

  • headland management, automatic centering of the rear axle via foot switch

Pneumatic front and rear axle suspension

Ground clearance ca. 1.40 m

Sprayer extension with 6.600 l tank

MAMUT

Exhibited is a MAMUT 6530 TOPLINE. The machine is equipped with 30m, 28m, 27m and 15m booms. This diversity in working widths can only AGRIO provide. In total, more than 170 variants are available for the MAMUT, so that every customer can find the right machine for himself.

In addition, the machine is equipped with the tried-and-tested TOPLINE control, which convinces with its simple, clear operation and with which the user can control all functions of the machine from the cab.

There is also the equipment for high volumes, so the machine can apply up to about 800 l/h at about 10 km/h. This is particularly interesting for the application of e.g. Vinasse, ASL and comparable fertilizers and special crops such as strawberries or vegetables. The special feature is that this high application rates can be achieved without additional nozzle line, which means that the residual quantities are reduced to a minimum.

The machine is equipped with nozzles in 25cm distances and a 2-fold pneumatically switched Selejet nozzle body, so that the appropriate nozzle is switched depending on the speed in order to be able to be applied in the appropriate pressure range and drop spectrum. Machine is equipped with triple nozzle holders, but could be equipped with up to quadruple.

AGRIO MAMUT has been under ENTAM testing since 2016 and is therefore one of the eligible crop protection sprayers in various federal republics.

Further equipment variants (Summary)

  • tank size from 4.000 l to 6.500 l

  • track width from 21 m to 36 m

  • continuous tank cleansing

  • up to max. 18 sections

  • various edge nozzles switching off

  • filling pumps up to 1000l / min

NAPA

Since its new facelift in 2014, NAPA has established itself on the market and today, with a tank size of 3300l and 3900l and working widths up to 30 m, is an interesting machine for medium-sized farms.

Unlike the competitors, there are the high-quality equipment variants of the large series also in the NAPA. Thus, e.g. the machine will also be equipped with 18 sections and a large number of nozzle body variants.

ISOBUS, GPS SECTION - Control, DISTANCE - Control, axle steering, TOPLINE and other equipment are ordered on almost every machine. So the NAPA is usually bought with high quality equipment.

Since 2016 NAPA has been also under ENTAM testing and is therefore one of the eligible crop protection sprayers in various federal republics.

Further equipment variants (Summary)

  • tank size 3.300 l & 3.900 l

  • TOPLINE - equipment

  • ISOBUS

  • SECTION-Control

  • DISTANCE-Control

  • Working width 21 m bis 30 m

  • continuous tank cleansing

  • up to max. 18 sections

  • various edge nozzles switching off

  • filling pump up to 800l/min
