At the end of October, Palazzani Industrie welcomed a group of 5th-year engineering students from the the University of Brescia, enrolled in the “Design of operating machines” course. The object of the visit was to provide students with a direct and in-depth experience in the world of design and manufacturing of operating machines, offering a concrete overview of the processes and technologies used in this field.
Paola Palazzani, president of Palazzani Industrie, greeted the students, introducing the Company’s history and identity, and sharing the growth path that has led Palazzani to become a key player in the AWP industry. During her speech, Paola Palazzani highlighted how the Company stands out for its continuous technological innovation and its commitment to safety and sustainability, values that are reflected in the solutions Palazzani offers on the global market today.
Production Cycle Tour
Francesco Zola, CEO of Palazzani Industrie, then led the students on a comprehensive tour of the Company’s production cycle. The future engineers had the opportunity to closely observe the organization and efficiency of the industrial processes in place, from warehouse and raw materials management to assembly phases and final testing.
Zola explained how each step is carefully monitored to ensure the highest quality standards, and how the Company chooses a specialized team and up-to-date technologies to meet top procuction requirements.
Meeting with the Technical Team
One of the most important moments of the visit was the meeting with Palazzani’s technical team, which included. Davide Maino, the Company’s CTE, alongside engineers Alessandro Scioscioli and Eros Salvadori. The team showed the key stages in the design of a Spider Lift, explaining in detail the core aspects that drive the development of Palazzani machines.
Particular emphasis was placed on safety and risk assessment, crucial elements for ensuring product reliability and compliance with international standards. The session also covered the technical challenges and innovative solutions Palazzani has implemented to optimize the performance of its AWP, even in challenging operational conditions.
Demonstration of the XTJ 52+ Spider Lift
At the end of the visit, the students had the opportunity to attend a live demonstration of the XTJ 52+ Bi-energy Spider Lift, the top model of the Palazzani range. The demonstration highlighted the remarkable capabilities of this machine: its intuitive human-machine interface, the performing extension and outreach of the boom, the design and advanced sensors that ensure operator safety.
For the engineering students, it was a valuable educational day, where they had the chance to engage with industry experts and learn important technical and practical aspects for their studies.
For Palazzani Industrie, the event represents a great opportunity to get in contact with the academic world and invest in the education of future engineers, who will contribute to developing and improving increasingly advanced technologies in the operating machines sector.
