Poclain announces the appointment of Guillaume Bataille to the role of Chief Operating Officer

The Board of Directors, which met on 16 July 2015 under the chairmanship of Laurent Bataille, appointed Guillaume Bataille to the role of Chief Operating Officer at the POCLAIN group.

A world-renowned expert in the design, production and marketing of hydrostatic transmissions, Poclain today employs 2,200 staff all over the world, spread across 11 factories, 19 Sales Business Units and 5 research centers. Present in 24 countries, the group achieved a turnover of 300 million euros in 2014.

Guillaume Bataille joined the family company POCLAIN HYDRAULICS in 1997, where he was responsible for implementing a worldwide information system for the group. His achievements included setting up finance for an LBO in particular. He then moved to the United States for four years (from 1999 to 2003) to lead an operational sales team. Upon returning to France in 2003, he became Head of Sales for the POCLAIN HYDRAULICS group. In 2007, he took charge of Business Development, becoming Assistant Managing Director. He was ultimately appointed to the role of Executive Vice-Président in 2009.

With this appointment, Poclain intends to continue and consolidate its development strategy in all its historical markets such as construction, agriculture, material handling or mining, while strengthening the group’s position with regard to its latest innovations for the automotive and urban transportation industries.
