The Fendt 1050 Vario was introduced to Brazilian farmers and contractors for the first time at the stand of the AGCO brand Massey Ferguson.

The world’s biggest standard tractor was unveiled in a show on the first day of the exhibition. The product managers Ricardo Barbosa and Eduardo Sousa introduced the 500hp tractor to an interested audience.

The public was especially interested in the technical innovations of the high-horsepower tractor from Germany: starting from the visible sophisticated features, such as the bonnet camera, the 300° front and 220° side window wipers, to the Fendt Variotronic, and up to the new Fendt VarioDrive powertrain or the low engine speed concept Fendt iD, which is unique in the agricultural industry.

Agriculture in Brazil

“Of the 372.9 million hectares that could be used for farming in Brazil, about 128 million hectares are being cultivated today,” says Robert Crain, AGCO Senior Vice President for Northern and Southern America, explaining the state of agricultural economics in the largest South American country. “Accordingly, we see growth potential for agricultural business here and continue to be ready to invest,” says Robert Crain. With its brands Massey Ferguson and Valtra, the AGCO Corporation has a very high market share in South America. With over 681 authorised dealers, the AGCO brands have a very strong presence on the South American continent.
