Launched in 2016, the PRO-LONGER GII LPA models with a MAXIview arm feature parallelogram kinematics. This function makes the machine easy to operate while limiting the stress on the arm. The parallelogram function is now available on the PRO-LONGER GII e-LPA in “electronic” mode.
The PRO-LONGER GII EP 5783 e-LPA is a hedge and grass cutter with a horizontal reach of 5.70 m and an 80-Hp rotor circuit. It expands the MAXIview range of leading arm machines, which provide a view of the rotor from the tractor door.
Compared to the LPA model, the PRO-LONGER GII e-LPA controls the parallelogram electronically, thus ensuring the best compactness. This function is protected by an exclusive KUHN patent. The technology works by using the arm's hydraulic cylinders, while also feeding information to the electronic control system to make use of the automated functions.
These automated functions ensure that the cutting head remains set at the same angle throughout the cutting operation even as the hydraulic arm is extended or retracted. This means that it takes just one action on the control panel to reposition the arm and adjust the cutting head accordingly: precise and easy to use! When trimming hedges vertically or horizontally, the parallel movements of the cutting head guarantee quality results and unbeatable speed.
The compactness is reduced by eliminating the mechanical linkage of the parallelogram above the boom. The parallelogram kinematics are controlled by the electronic system. The EP joystick with 4 proportional functions, the STABI-LINK quick-hitch chassis, the oversized radiator and the patented gear drive system of the MECA-DRIVE cutting head are standard equipment on all PRO-LONGER GII MAXIview models. All these features are highly appreciated by users both in terms of driving comfort and operational performance.
