Komatsu Germany Mining Division has announced the global launch of the new PC9000-12 hydraulic excavator, which has been specially developed for open-cast mining. The PC9000-12 is the largest model in the PC series and is characterised by an enormous bucket capacity as well as high reach and digging force, enabling large dump trucks to be loaded quickly. This machine can be operated with either a diesel or electric drive and can be integrated into the FrontRunner autonomous transport system. The excavator has been successfully launched in Canada, supported by a local partner.
