During the Alpe d’HuZes event, each participant climbed the Alpe d’Huez mountain in France for a maximum of six times by either walking, running or cycling. This year a total of 20 Riwal employees participated in the event, which took place on June 2nd, 2016. The Riwal team consisted of runners, walkers and cyclists with each aiming to climb the Alpe d’Huez at least once.

This year Team Riwal was able to raise 170.000 Euros, an amount that easily surpassed last years 70.000 Euro total. The runners, walkers and cyclist were able to raise 60.000 Euros, which has been generously doubled by Riwal's owner, Prodelta. Additionally 50.000 Euros was donated to the Alpe d'HuZes foundation, as a result of winning the auction for JLG's 100.000th telehandler at a charity event last year.

Norty Turner, Riwal’s CEO, comments: “Practically everyone is affected in some way or another by cancer. The initiative to participate in the Alpe d'HuZes event stemmed from one Riwal team member who said he was going to participate and blossomed into a cause the company rallied around. I feel very proud for Riwal to have been a part of the event, and I want to thank everyone who so generously donated their time, energy and money to make it so successful again.”
