ROCKWOOL Safe 'n' Silent solutions achieve optimal acoustics in Marina One Project

Due for completion in 2017, Marina One is a new, mixed-use development in Singapore, comprised of residential living areas, office towers and retail podiums, designed by renowned architect Christoph Ingenhoven.

The project has already received expert recognition in the industry, having been awarded 3 titles at the 2012 Asia Pacific Property Awards for Best High Rise Architecture, Best Mixed Use Architecture and Best Mixed Use Development, and has also been certified by Singapore’s Green Mark Platinum and LEED Platinum schemes.

ROCKWOOL Asia contributes to the project as part of its recently introduced ‘Safe ‘n’ Silent’product range, offering a more holistic building package to architects, developers, distributors and contractors, including marketing collaterals, materials and necessary training.

For the Marina One Project, the Safe ‘n’ Silent Pro solution based on the Noise Criteria (NC) concept was used, giving the architects a complete toolset to aid the design process, specifying the building so that each room can achieve the occupant’s desired indoor comfort level.

Kwok See Chun, Marketing & PA Director of ROCKWOOL South Asia, explains:
“Marina One is just one example of how Safe ‘n’ Silent allows us to be more focussed on specific customer-requirements with segmented product offerings and targeted marketing tools for our different stakeholders, putting us in a better position to drive specifications and move up the value chain in the future”.

This project is the first to employ the Safe ‘n’ Silent product range from ROCKWOOL Asia, and is estimated to bring in around SGD 1 million worth of sales potential, with a requirement of approximately 200,000 m2 of Safe ‘n’ Silent Pro for the drywall partition system.
