Rototilt presents new R2 model

Based on the Rototilt R product platform, tiltrotator R2 will replace the RT20B. This means new smart features with Innovative Control System (ICS) and SecureLock™. The new tiltrotator manages significantly higher breakout torque and has an increased machine span of 3-6.5 tonnes.

The benefits of the new R2 tiltrotator are many. The design is based on the larger models of the Rototilt R platform with an integrated swivel. It is stronger with 12% higher permissible breakout torque, allowing double the flow rate for extra functionality, and it fits larger excavators (3-6.5 tonnes).

“During development of the R2, we listened to our customers' thoughts and ideas in creating a very powerful tiltrotator in this size class,” says product manager Sven-Roger Ekström. “For example, increased hydraulic capacity and smarter control systems.”

The big news is Rototilt’s innovative Control System (ICS). With the supplied display, operators gain easier adjustment options and a better overview of the tiltrotator system.

For a safer working environment around the machine, there is SecureLock™ for safe tool changes.

“The launch of quick couplers S40, S45 and S50 is timely,” says Sven-Roger Ekström. “Together with the new R2, the ICS and SecureLock™, customers obtain a unique whole where everything is controlled from one and the same display.”

The R2 will begin shipping in March and will be on display for the first time at Intermat in Paris.
