Royal Welsh Show now just round the corner

For the last national agricultural show of the Amazone show season the lorries are now poised for the trip down to Builth Wells showground for the Royal Welsh Show.

With the event now just a couple of weeks away, the Royal Welsh offers an opportunity to get the Amazone product range in front of customers from the western side of the country. With LAMMA and Cereals favouring the bigger arable area farmers, the need to keep in touch with existing customers as well a meeting some new faces makes the Royal Welsh a key show in the Amazone calendar.

The emphasis will still be very firmly on the new products launched in the last few months with the revamped electrically-driven AD-P Special 3000 taking up the mantle from its predecessor as one of best-selling power harrow combis on the market. The new AD-P Special offers enhanced comfort with a new bigger tank, widener opening and roll-over cover for easier filling. The new electric drive system with the option of remote calibration makes changing seed variety a doddle and when the days get shorter, and the drilling goes on longer, the LED work lights provide ample illumination to keep things safe when filling and for keeping an eye on performance when drilling in the dark. There is a newly-engineered RoTeC disc coulter with uprated bout markers but most importantly of all, the new low power requirement fan which needs just 21 l/min of oil to power even beans and peas down to the seed furrow is a real boost to fuel economy and combi output.

The impressive fresh new mid-range fertiliser spreader, the ZA-V, which comes in hopper sizes from 1700 litres right through to 4800 litres with something in between for every farm size and filling system, will also be down at Builth for the first time. Spreading from 10 to 36 metres, the new QuickSet disc change system makes light work of setting the machine up for different fertilisers and widths. The uprated shutter output means that, for the guys on 36m tramlines, faster forward speeds are now possible with the 200 Hz weigh-cell system on the ZA-V Profis Tronic able to cope with up to 30 km/h spreading speeds. The tilt sensor keeps the weighing system on track even when working in sidling ground. For those needing less sophistication, of course the ZA-V and ZA-V Easy offer entry-level economy with either hydraulic or electric control respectively. The Limiter+ improves headland accuracy with its in-cab control of throwing width meaning that the distance to the hedge can be fine-tuned from the tractor seat depending on the material and the weather conditions.

As mentioned in the teaser, the Cirrus 3003 Compact trailed cultivator drill, with CrushBoard up front ahead of the cultivator discs, makes the Compact the ideal drill for working after the plough or in min-till. The 3000 litre easily-accessible tank keeps the drill drilling more and filling less. Put these exciting novelties alongside the plough and the UF mounted sprayers, as well as some Groundcare kit as well, and it means there is something for one and all again this year on the Amazone stand.

You can find Amazone in their usual home on Avenue G in the machinery lines, and irrespective of the weather there will be either a cooling drink or a warming coffee on the stand all week, we look forward to seeing you there.
