The Indian subsidiary of Sany Group, Sany Heavy Industry India Pvt. Ltd., was incorporated in India at the end of 2002. It is the first overseas industrial park of Sany Group with comprehensive integration of R&D, manufacturing, sales, services and logistics. Sany India has started production, assembly and testing of four categories of products in India, namely, stationary pump, truck-mounted concrete pump, batching plant and concrete mixer. The company aims to convert the Pune-based facility into a full manufacturing plant in the mid-term, and has invested around 60 million USD on the site.

According to Ms Patil, concrete batching plants are likely to be the first machines they are going to manufacture in India.

"The current infrastructure boom in India is creating huge demand for batching plants and concrete-related machines such as transit mixers and pumps. These are likely to be the first products Sany manufactures in the country, followed by excavators and other construction equipment".

During the Mumbai exhibition, a new range of Sany mounted concrete pumps were also displayed to target the Indian market. Engines of the machines size from 30l to 50l. Moreover, two boom pumps, a truck mixer, a concrete batching plant and a crawler crane were also on show.
