Seegrid Names Sid Wiesner as Vice President of Engineering

Seegrid Corporation, the pioneer and leader in three-dimensional vision navigation, announced today that the company has hired Sid Wiesner to serve as its vice president of engineering.  "Sid will be responsible for overseeing the strategic areas of technology, hardware and software engineering, and quality assurance for the company.  His strong background in product and technology development and engineering management aligns with the company's strategy for continued growth and success," said Jim Rock, Chief Executive Officer for Seegrid.

Wiesner served as Seegrid’s director of development from 2003-2007, followed by a one-year sabbatical to help a non-profit NGO in Kenya. “I worked at Seegrid for the first seven years during the core technology development phase and now I have a great opportunity to rejoin the team.  I am excited to work with this new leadership and in support of the company’s strategic operating plan,” stated Wiesner.

Wiesner is passionate about the company’s core Vision technology and stated, “Seegrid allows incremental automation in a way other automation options can’t match in the materials handling industry. Driving a vision guided vehicle off a delivery truck, training a workflow, and beginning an application quickly and efficiently is something that excites customers. The focus on making a product simple, easy to use, and something that can easily be incrementally added to existing processes sets Seegrid Vision apart from other navigation technology for automated guided vehicles.”

Wiesner previously held the position of chief technology officer of Wellbridge Health, a healthcare IT company dedicated to improving care for people with chronic diseases.  Prior to Wellbridge Health, he served as vice president of product development for Touchtown, a company that produces hardware and software with a focus on life-safety and wellness communication with senior living communities.
