Shantui Makes First Sale of Concrete Machinery in the Philippines

         Beijing. April 14. Shantui Construction Machinery Co., a multinational based in Shandong, China, announced today its first sale of concrete machinery in The Philippines. Sun and Earth Development and Construction Corp. (SUNMIX) signed a contract to purchase ten concrete transit mixers. The sale accentuates both Shantui’s global expansion and its product diversity.

         Manila-based SUNMIX purchased ten HJC5250GJB and HJC5256GJB concrete transit mixers after visiting Shantui’s manufacturing facilities in central China. Prior to the purchase SUNMIX’s entire fleet was second-hand equipment from Europe, the US and Japan. Shantui’s impressive features, Anytime, Anywhere Service and value for money convinced them that new equipment was the way to go when making capital expenditures.
 

         Traditionally, Shantui has been best-known for its market leading line of bulldozers in China. In the past 10 years Shantui has aggressively moved to internationalize and diversify its product line through research, acquisitions and joint ventures. Shantui acquired concrete equipment manufacturer Chutian Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. in 2008, and has since invested heavily in growing its concrete machinery portfolio. Says Richard Li, head of international affairs at Shantui, “Our bulldozers paved the way, but now our full product lines are making their own mark in markets round the globe. We are pleased to add the Philippines to the growing list of countries attracted by our value and diversified product offerings.”
