Manufacturers at bauma 2025 unveiled a wide array of forward-looking solutions—from AI-assisted loaders to energy-efficient concrete mixers. Key debuts included Develon's autonomous excavator technology, Magni’s high-capacity handlers, CASE’s remote-controlled electric wheel loader, and CIFA’s hybrid concrete mixer. Across the board, the focus was on efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility. LECTURA Press attended this year’s bauma and brought you the following report.

Develon

Under the banner of ‘Achieve the Next,’ Develon showcased over 20 machines and digital technologies at bauma 2025. As a highlight, Develon unveiled a brand new series of crawler excavators during its press conference.

The new generation 9 Series was represented by the DX230LC-9 and DX260LC-9 models that feature smart safety and performance technologies such as the Smart All-Around Viewing Monitor (AI-based Object Detection technology), Advanced Lift Assist system or the innovative E-Stop and Virtual Wall functions designed to prevent accidents the operators are not aware of.

On top of that, Develon also demonstrated the Real X autonomous technology, transforming a bunch of smart crawler excavators into a fully autonomous fleet powered by AI within a single jobsite. This technology was developed based on the Concept-X which was introduced back in 2019. Develon also expanded its electric machinery portfolio by launching the DX23E-7 electric mini-excavator model.

Magni

The Italian telescopic handler specialist presented its latest innovations at the bauma press conference. Magni TH introduced new mid-range models, including the TH 3,5.7 and TH 3,5.9 fixed telescopic handlers. The TH range offers compact design, high lifting capacities, and advanced safety features like the Load Moment Indicator (LMI). Both models are capable of lifting up to 3,500 kg and reach heights of 7 and 9 metres respectively.

Moreover, Magni launched the HTH 25.11 high-capacity telescopic handler that offers a load capacity of 18,000 kg at the maximum height of 10.5 m. The TP 4,5.10 platform is another addition to the Magni portfolio and the manufacturer calls it a 3-in-1 machine. Its load capacity is 450 kg (max. 3 persons) and the platform features an innovative rotation system that allows the TP 4,5.10 platform to be stowed to the side of the boom, reducing overall dimensions for optimised transport.

Magni also outlined a new FL series of forklifts that will be launched in 2025 and therefore will expand the manufacturer’s machinery portfolio. The FL range will firstly consist of four diesel models with load capacities from 2.5 to 5 tonnes and 3 metre high-visibility duplex mast (standard equipment). Magni will also offer two variants of each diesel forklift model, fitted with either Stage V or Stage IIIA engines, dedicated to specific market needs.

Last but not least, Magni TH presented the new generation of AC+ scissor lifts with load capacity upgraded by up to 40% compared to the previous range. The AC+ range offers working heights from 8 to 16 metres and quiet operation due to the upgraded lithium batteries. Interestingly, the gravity energy recovery system recycles energy from the hydraulic fluid during descent and charges the battery by up to 20%.

CASE

In line with its slogan "Let's drive the future", the American-Italian brand presented several innovations in the field of construction equipment. During the press conference, CASE showcased smart technologies and solutions such as future machine control solutions, new Customer Portal and App, myCASEConstruction and the parts e-commerce platform. The highlight of the CASE stand was the introduction of advanced driver assistance systems for CASE wheel loaders and the CASE Smart Loader Assist AI Technology.

The CASE stand featured not only several new technologies but also brand new machines. The new 421G compact wheel loader (97hp/72kW engine), the CX38D mini excavator and the 1021G+ X-DRIVE wheel loader expand the CASE product portfolio together with some specialised machines such as the CX135E XRD - world’s most compact, high-reach demolition excavator. The machine is designed to work with a 700 kg crusher at a height of 13 m, has a retractable chassis and is capable of performing in even the most restricted site conditions.

Finally, CASE Construction Equipment showcased the Impact electric wheel loader concept called CASE eCWL 12EV. The futuristic machine lacks a traditional cabin as it is designed to be remotely operated from a dedicated control lounge. The wheel loader should excel at harsh and hazardous jobsites where its concept contributes to safety and improves performance. The eCWL 12EV will also be equipped with improved telematics and hardware solutions capable of collecting real-time data, improving efficiency and precision during operation.

CIFA

The Italian concrete pump specialist CIFA unveiled 3 brand new machines at bauma 2025. The first one, Magnum MK35H Carbotech truck mixer pump was showcased during a short press event. The MK35H is now the largest mixer-pump on the market - a combination of maximum performance, high manoeuvrability and optimised efficiency in one machine. The 4-boom section truck mixer pump offers a pipeline diameter of 100 mm and boom length of 34.1 metres. The pumping unit output is up to 90 m³/h.

The second machine, Energya E10, is an electric concrete mixer with battery electric equipment technology. The Energya E10 was developed in collaboration with the new Mercedes-Benz eArocs 400 electric truck and boasts a 28.1 kW / 100Ah battery pack. The new design, inspired by aeronautics, combines durability and aesthetics, reflecting Italian style and originality.

The third new machine is the LIZARD, a versatile mining vehicle for underground applications, expanding CIFA’s underground machinery portfolio. The LIZARD vehicle is available in both diesel and electric (E-LIZARD) versions, designed for tight spaces with 4WD and 4WS. The underground vehicle is modular and can be adapted to various applications such as liquid transport, material transport or material handling.

Sinoboom

The aerial work platform specialist launched the SPA27J spider lift at bauma 2025. As the name suggests, its maximum working height is 27 m with maximum outreach of 14.2 metres. With 360° turret rotation, the SPA27J provides smooth and precise positioning in hard-to-reach areas. The hydraulic leveling system keeps it stable on uneven ground, while its compact design makes it easy to transport and maneuver. The spider lift also features an intelligent control system, remote diagnostics and innovative boom design. Additional new products for the European market included the new-generation 1623RD rough-terrain scissor lift and the AB22J Plus articulating boom lift.

Sinoboom highlighted the company's "Made in Europe for Europe" strategy, emphasizing the production capabilities of their Polish facility and the strong European supply chain. The company also announced the acquisition of the Holland Lift brand, expanding their product portfolio with over 30 high-capacity scissor lift models.

Sinoboom has also established a UK subsidiary in the Midlands to support the UK distribution network and introduced its global strategy for used equipment. Sinoboom also demonstrated its latest technological developments, including the 360° Tank Turn system for better maneuverability and a real-time Panoramic Camera system designed to enhance operator safety.

SENNEBOGEN

The German material handling and crane technology expert presented 8 new large machines at bauma. The visits had the opportunity to experience 2 brand new electro battery material handlers — the 824 G and 826 G with reach of 12 and 13 metres, respectively. The modular battery concept allows for 1 to 4 lithium-ion battery packs, providing up to 6-7 hours of operation without recharging. Furthermore, SENNEBOGEN introduced the 875 G Hybrid material handler for port handling with 32 m reach. The machine incorporates the Green Hybrid energy recovery system, reducing operating costs by up to 50%.

SENNEBOGEN also showcased the 6220 E duty cycle crane with a 220-ton load capacity and a maximum boom length of 74.7 meters. The giant comes with two powertrain options as the customers can choose between the 563 kW or the larger 708 kW engine with Stage V emissions.

Moreover, SENNEBOGEN expands its digital service offerings with new applications in the mySENNEBOGEN portal. This includes the SENtrack telematics system and the SENNEBOGEN Troubleshooter, aimed at machine diagnostics and predictive maintenance.

SBM Mineral Processing

At bauma, SBM Mineral Processing presented a range of innovative products and technologies in mineral processing and concrete mixing, celebrating its 75th anniversary. Highlights included the fully hybrid REMAX 600 impact crusher with low diesel consumption, plug-in capability, and smart “Crush Control” automation. The JAWMAX® 300 also stood out for its mobility and efficient three-product output.

In concrete technology, SBM launched the compact, energy-efficient EUROMIX® 1600 NOVA, designed for small to mid-sized sites with improved access, insulation, and cleaning systems. Additional showcases included the VSI V8 and SMR impact crushers for high-quality chippings, and modular mixing plants like DYNAMIX®, VARIOMIX®, and LINEMIX®. SBM also revealed a pilot project for unmanned concrete plant operation.

Mecalac

At bauma, Mecalac presented a range of new machines focused on innovation, versatility, and sustainability. The Revo990 was introduced as the world’s first backhoe loader with a rotating cab, designed to improve operator visibility and comfort. Alongside it, the Revotruck combined a rotating cab with four-wheel steering, aiming to enhance maneuverability in dumper operations. The company also showcased the 12MRX, a compact excavator developed for users seeking high productivity in confined workspaces.

Mecalac expanded its electric equipment offering with the launch of the ES900tele, a fully electric telescopic swing loader. It features a zero-emission drivetrain and long operating autonomy, making it suitable for urban and indoor applications. The company also revealed the eMWR, an electric excavator concept featuring a unique design and high stability, positioned as a potential future solution for low-emission construction sites.

The new models reflect Mecalac’s ongoing focus on adapting machine architecture to meet evolving industry demands, including increased energy efficiency, operator ergonomics, and regulatory compliance. With these additions, Mecalac continues to develop both conventional and electric equipment, addressing a variety of applications in construction, infrastructure, and urban maintenance.

Bomag (Fayat Group)

At bauma 2025, BOMAG presented a range of advancements focused on safety, sustainability, and operator-centric innovation, highlighting both new machinery and digital technologies. A key innovation was the Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) system, developed to enhance safety on construction sites by preventing rear-end collisions. Using radar sensors to detect obstacles, the system enables an automatic emergency stop for rollers operating in close proximity to trucks—marking a significant step in hazard reduction for roadbuilding operations.

BOMAG also underscored its focus on autonomous driving and operator education, showcasing training simulators that provide a realistic, safe, and cost-effective environment for learning compaction techniques. These simulators reflect the company’s broader commitment to integrating intelligent systems and digital tools into its product ecosystem. On the machinery front, BOMAG unveiled its new BP series of single direction vibratory plates, designed for performance and ease of use in compact compaction jobs. The company also introduced the BPR e series, its new line of electric reversible vibratory plates, offering zero-emission operation with the same compaction performance as traditional models—ideal for use in urban and low-emission zones.

In the paving segment, the new BF 350 C-5 and BF 350 P-5 pavers were introduced as compact and highly maneuverable solutions tailored for small-scale projects and tight job sites. Featuring intuitive controls and efficient material handling, these machines combine productivity with precision, aimed at professionals working in urban settings or repair work.

TIME Europe

At bauma 2025, TIME Europe presented a wide range of access equipment under the theme "Take your TIME", featuring its brands RUTHMANN, VERSALIFT, France Elévateur, and MOVEX at stand FS 1107/9. The company highlighted new product launches and updates across its portfolio, focusing on performance, flexibility, and emerging technologies.

A key highlight was the world premiere of the RUTHMANN STEIGER® T 380 XS, which offered a compact vehicle length, extended outreach, and a variable tower for enhanced ground-level and underfloor work capabilities. Also on display was the STEIGER® T 1000 HF, the tallest model in the range with a 100-meter working height and up to 39 meters lateral outreach. The new STEIGER® T 570 HF Hybrid marked the launch of a hybrid series, combining battery-powered operation with high-performance access capabilities.

In the compact segment, TIME Europe showcased the MOVEX ATL 15, designed for maintenance work in rural and utility environments, with a 15-meter working height and several customization options. The newly introduced MOVEX TLRx series—including models with working heights of 16.7, 18, and 20 meters—was developed for rental and utility applications, offering intuitive controls, 450-degree tower rotation, and compatibility with various vehicle chassis.

Electrification was another key focus. The VERSALIFT VTL-140-F, mounted on a fully electric Ford E-Transit, was designed as a zero-emission solution for urban use. France Elévateur presented the 172 CPL on a hybrid Iveco Daily, providing high payload capacity and flexible setup for dense infrastructure networks.

MB Crusher

MB Crusher introduced its new line of demolition pulverizers, the MB-P and MB-PT, designed to meet a wide range of job site requirements at bauma 2025. These tools were developed following extensive field testing, including the demolition of reinforced concrete structures and trials on high-resistance materials such as tungsten rock.

The MB-P and MB-PT models are available in both single- and double-cylinder configurations, allowing compatibility with a variety of mid-size carriers. The pulverizers feature a tilting rotating head to extend the working range, an optional dual motor setup for enhanced tearing power, and an optimized lever system to improve crushing efficiency. Designed in response to customer feedback from global markets, the pulverizers aim to offer a balance of adaptability, performance, and durability. Their modular design supports efficient operation across various demolition tasks, including structural concrete removal, foundation crushing, and material separation.

With the launch of these models, MB Crusher expanded its portfolio to include specialized demolition equipment, highlighting its continued focus on developing tools that align with evolving job site demands and operator needs.

Steelwrist (Open-S Alliance)

At bauma 2025, Steelwrist - a member of the Open-S Alliance, introduced several new products aimed at improving excavator efficiency, flexibility, and operator safety. Two new tiltrotators, the XTR15 and XTR23, were unveiled for 12–15 tonne and 19–23 tonne machines respectively. Both models feature a robust cast steel design, triple-sealed bearings, and the OptiLube automatic lubrication system, along with LockSense safety technology. These tiltrotators are fully compatible with the Open-S standard, supporting seamless interoperability between different brands of quick couplers and work tools.

The company also expanded its automatic quick coupler lineup with the launch of the SQ40, designed for excavators under 7 tonnes. This fully automatic coupler allows operators to change hydraulic tools without leaving the cab and supports flow rates of up to 70 l/min. Its modular design allows for easy upgrades from S-type to SQ-type couplers, reflecting Steelwrist’s continued focus on user flexibility and productivity on smaller machines.

In addition to couplers and tiltrotators, Steelwrist introduced the TSX6 tree shear, compatible with both S40 and SQ40 interfaces, and designed for safe and efficient vegetation management. The company also launched the MGX4 multi grapple for 2–4 tonne excavators, expanding its range of hydraulic work tools. These new tools reinforce Steelwrist’s commitment to delivering solutions that increase excavator capability across a wide variety of job site applications.

OTR Engineered Solutions

OTR Engineered Solutions introduced two major advancements aimed at enhancing tire performance and safety in the construction and material handling sectors. The company unveiled the new LIFTBOSS® A/T tire, specifically designed for telehandlers operating on varied surfaces such as asphalt, concrete, and gravel. The tire features a non-directional tread pattern with step-down lugs, integrated sipes, and mud breakers, providing superior all-terrain traction, self-cleaning capability, and enhanced stability through a low-profile design.

Alongside the tire launch, OTR announced a strategic partnership with Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.) to integrate the TireView® tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) into its pneumatic tire and wheel assemblies. This system enables real-time monitoring of tire pressure and temperature via an in-cab display, mobile app, or integrated dashboard, helping operators maintain proper inflation and extend tire life. The TireView LIVE™ portal also offers telematics features, allowing fleet managers to remotely track tire health and vehicle locations across entire fleets.

With these developments, OTR strengthened its position as a provider of innovative, safety-focused tire solutions. The combination of rugged, fuel-efficient tire design and advanced tire monitoring technology supports both operational performance and proactive maintenance, offering tangible benefits for rental companies, fleet operators, and construction professionals.
