But the true revolution lies at the heart of the machine: the Blue Tech Plus hydraulic system. With a single 390l /min (103 US gal/min) pump, the system intelligently manages flow distribution, reducing fuel consumption and emissions while delivering high production levels on site. Its simplified, robust layout cuts maintenance costs, while optimized performance management ensures unprecedented productivity.

SR-45 Blue Tech Plus: The New Frontier of Efficiency

The second Blue Tech Plus model is the new SR-45, a rig that redefines standards for performance, sustainability, and productivity. Engineered for contractors who demand maximum output on every job, the SR-45 blends the strength of a proven design with the innovation of Blue Tech Plus—turning efficiency into real jobsite value.

At its core is the 209 kW (280 HP) Cummins B6.7, powering an advanced hydraulic system with a 300 l (79 US gal) pressurized tank, cutting maintenance costs by up to 50% and simplifying service operations. Thanks to intelligent flow management, Blue Tech Plus reduces fuel consumption by up to 30%, generating operational savings and lowering environmental impact.

Performance is uncompromised: the rotary delivers 184 kNm (136447 lb·ft) of maximum torque, ensuring high drilling speeds and excellent productivity. The SR-45 reaches 70 m (230 ft) in LDP and 26 m (85 ft) in CFA, offering the versatility required for virtually any foundation project. The Kelly-to-CFA conversion takes just half a day, minimizing downtime and increasing operating continuity.

The compact upper structure provides nearly 180° direct visibility, improving operator safety and machine control. The Soilmec-designed electro-proportional joystick ensures smooth, precise movements, making operations easier and less fatiguing.

Blue Tech Plus is more than technology—it’s an integrated system that reduces fuel usage, simplifies maintenance, boosts productivity, and minimizes environmental impact. With one of the lowest noise emission levels in its class and compatibility with HVO diesel and biodegradable oil, the SR-45 is the ideal choice for contractors who want responsible operation without sacrificing performance.

SR-65 Blue Tech: Power, Efficiency, and Smart Mobility

The SR-65 Blue Tech represents Soilmec’s most successful and widely trusted drilling rig—renowned by contractors worldwide for its reliability, versatility, and outstanding jobsite performance. Building on this strong legacy, the Blue Tech version introduces a redesigned hydraulic layout, improved energy-saving systems, and significantly higher eƯiciency across all drilling conditions. Thanks to optimized hydraulic flow and reduced performance losses during duty-cycle operations, the SR-65 Blue Tech delivers smoother response, stronger torque consistency, and higher productivity even in demanding soils.

One of its strongest advantages for contractors is its ability to mobilize quickly: the rig can be transported with the Kelly bar mounted and start drilling in less than 30 minutes upon arrival. With an operating weight of approximately 65 tons (71 US tons), it remains within single-load transport limits in most regions—an immediate benefit for logistics, jobsite transitions, and overall project scheduling.

At the core of the SR-65 Blue Tech is the Cummins L9 diesel engine, delivering 272 kW (365 HP) at 2,100 rpm and fully compliant with Stage V / Tier 4f emissions. When required, the engine can be configured to provide up to 280 kW (380 HP), giving crews the extra power needed for challenging rock layers or heavy-duty drilling. Automatic low-idle and cooling management reduce fuel consumption, noise, and wear, while increasing combustion and cooling efficiency.

The redesigned rotary head transmits up to 258.5 kNm (190675 lbf*ft) of torque and features automatic displacement control, allowing the machine to optimize drilling speed and torque in real time. The rotary can be equipped with Soilmec’s exclusive Spin-Off system—ideal for auger applications—or the click-click discharge system, preferred for cohesive soils and bucket work. This versatility makes the SR-65 the perfect fit for LDP, segmental casing, CFA, and a wide range of deep foundation applications.

The high-strength mast supports 16.5 m (54 ft) Kelly bars, enabling drilled depths of over 77,7 m (255 ft), while maintaining compact overall dimensions, including a 3750 mm (148 in) tail swing for improved maneuverability in confined jobsite spaces.
