Solutions and tools of the future, SATECO shows its technological leadership
27 April 2018
Major actor on the construction market in France for 65 years, SATECO company designs, manufactures and sells formwork and safety tools for the Building and Public Works (shutters, safety, prefabrication) and also offers a services activity dedicated to rental, sale of reconditioned equipment as well as maintenance of material yards. INTERMAT 2018 Exhibition - from April 23rd to 28th in Paris Villepinte, is the occasion for SATECO to show its technological leadership.
An immersive experience in the virtual reality around the shutter of the future: with the simulation of the use of the “SC X” beta version, a projection of the 2030 shutter entirely designed by SATECO, customers and visitors are invited to share their opinion and see the relevance of its news functions,
SATECOMAP, a new identification and geolocalisation program available from 2018 on all SATECO shutters,
E-CAPT, a full kit of connected pressure gauges dedicated to all and any type of shutter.
In addition to these elements, there will be direct connections with Benjamin DUTREUX, the TEAM SATECO skipper, from the transatlantic race “AG2R La Mondiale” from Concarneau to Saint Barthélémy.
A UNIQUE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE AROUND THE « SC X » BOX, PROJECTION OF THE 2030 SHUTTER
Since the virtual reality offers a total immersion in a different environment, SATECO chose this technology to offer its customers an adventure of augmented reality on a worksite. The customer becomes a worksite operator and has the leisure to test the many functions designed by SATECO on its shutter of the future. All the customers feedbacks collected during the exhibition will help SATECO to develop the key innovations on its materials.
ENVIRONMENT OF THE FUTURE FOR REAL SIZE TEST
The user will walk or teleport himself in a virtual environment of the future, made possible with the 3D modelling.
The sensations of full sensory immersion is reinforced by the sounds such as the voice over indicating the actions to take, the worksite noises on the background. The user wears a headset and holds the handles, he is projected in a white room where he must grab his safety equipment (gloves, helmet, and boots) to finally discover his character in the augmented reality and be projected in a pioneer worksite.
« SC X » NEW SHUTTER, A COMBINATION OF INNOVATIONS
From the technology and R&D Dpt. of Sateco, the new shutter “SC X” may be considered as a projection of what will be a shutter in 2030. This shutter from the future has many new technologies such as:
Automatic alignment: “SC X” shutter is equipped with tracks that allow, with simple joysticks, a positioning on the blue line and a juxtaposition positioning to assemble the shutter with the shutter set already in place,
Automatic verticality: action a box with four control levers (high/low/right/left) to adjust the horizontal direction with the screw jacks and the verticality with the crutches. To do so, the user is helped by the inclinometer and its reds, orange and green lights,
Assembling in one point: to assemble the shutters, SATECO suggests to screw the nut linking, in only one point, all the hooks of the tightening system.
The lifting ladder: spares the user efforts. He just has to stand on a platform to be lifted automatically to the next level of the shutter.
SATECOMAP: IDENTIFICATION AND GEOLOCALISATION ON ALL THE SHUTTERS
All the building and public works companies have faced, one day, the temporary or permanent loss of worksite material. We suppose that 40% of these very expensive machines are hardly used, that 20% are not stored at the right place and that a small % are stolen.
Since then, it becomes necessary to manage a material yard with the utmost severity. That’s why SATECO has developed SATECOMAP, a simple device to manage the shutters from a platform at the headquarters. It functions as follow: A transmitter is fixed on the material and connected to the SATECO gauges. It delivers a signal collected by the securing and transfers platform of the manufacturer. From SATECO website, each customer has an access, via a secure account, to his space where he can launch the search of his product and find it. To do so, he can select not less than 13 criteria: name, dimensions, city where it is supposed to be…). Finally a tracking device let you know the battery level, the route, the movements’ quantity of the machines, you may as well be alerted if the tracking device is no longer connected.
SATECOMAP allows the building companies to be more reactive towards the customers, to save time and optimize the managing costs of a yard.
E-CAPT, FULL KIT OF CONNECTED PRESSURE GAUGES
SATECO brings a full system of connected concrete pressure sensors on the construction world.
It can be used on every formworks, mostly on the great height building sites (>7.50m), that need a specific concrete casting process (great height wall, concrete type, tie rods positioning). This connected concrete pressure sensor suitcase from SATECO is really easy to use.
Once the sensors are switched on (1 up to 3 – depends of the concrete height), the concrete pressure data’s applied on the formwork are directly transmitted to the magnetic digital tablet or on a smartphone. The site manager can track from afar, the concrete casting and stops the casting in case of prescribed overpassing pressure or dysfunction during the concrete casting.
The interaction and the innovation of this SATECO system improves the concrete casting by reinforcing the site attention and ensuring the workers safety thanks to an optimized use of formworking tools.
SAVED TIME AND SIMPLIFIED JOB FOR THE USER
By freeing the user attention during the concrete pouring, this SATECO sensor suitcase offers time saving. Indeed, the use of this device streamlines the pouring time in case of great height by causing less risk of damages. Moreover, allowing an accurate calibration of the sensors, it optimizes the pouring time by securing the concrete pressure and simplifying the checkings.
Finally, the pouring remote monitoring relieves the workers from tedious tasks, leading to less musculoskeletal disorders.
… IN COMPLETE SAFETY
This system takes largely into account the safety aspects of materials and workers, so important to SATECO. Thus, the maximum configurable permissible load is 30 Tons. If it does overpass the preconized concrete pressure (recommended by the technical SATECO offices), an alert appears on the digital tablet or on the smartphone of the site manager so that he starts an adapted process. The alert can also be launched by sms.
The use of the sensors SATECO suitcase allow the monitoring optimization during the concrete pouring and avoid the standard gauges reading by the operators. The interactivity ensures the data’s recording reliability and a fast intervention in case of dysfunction.
Finally, at the end of every concrete casting, the system records all the pressure data’s that can be saved on other hardware (smartphones, cloud, servers, …).
DIRECT AND DAILY CONNECTIONS WITH BENJAMIN DUTREUX SKIPPER OF THE TEAM SATECO MONO-HULL
Since 2017, SATECO sponsors the skipper Benjamin DUTREUX on his boat Figaro Bénéteau. Its aim: participate to the famous race “Vendée Globe 2020”. Our president, François GUILLOTEAU wished to associate his company to Benjamin’s challenges for the human values brought by the young man.
During INTERMAT Exhibition, the skipper participates to the AG2R La Mondiale race, a Transatlantic French Championship that starts in April 22nd from Concarneau to reach Saint Barthélémy. Once a day, Benjamin DUTREUX will talk with the customers visiting our stand.
