KUHN continues to expand its range of booms with the launch of a new entry-level steel boom available in 18, 20, 21 and 24m formats, compatible with the LEXIS range of trailed sprayers. Comprised of two steel arms, the MTS2 is a robust boom. Its tubular structure ensures that all of the nozzles are protected on the front, rear and underside of the leading arm, the area where visibility from the drivers seat is often most restricted. Last but not least, the end of the boom is fitted with a three-dimensional safety arm to protect it from any obstacles.

The components are up to the usual high KUHN standards, with tandem functions and stainless steel pipes combined with a filter in each section to ensure long term optimal spraying quality and limit the risk of blockages.

The MTS2 is also fitted with TRAPEZIA suspension. This system incorporates an automatic, mechanical tilt-stabiliser and two link rods to keep the boom stable and operational on regular sloping surfaces. The MTS2 boom is connected to the main sprayer unit by a four-bar parallelogram system, for active suspension while working and during transportation.

Designed for the most simple spraying tasks, the MTS2 is controlled via a function selector panel integrated into the tractor controls, keeping the number of different boxes inside the cab to a minimum. Optional extras include hydraulic tilt correction and variable geometric settings, for truly bespoke crop management. The MTS2 boom is available with the LEXIS range of 3000-litre trailed spray units, and can be fitted with DPAE CANBUS or ISOBUS control systems.
