Haulotte is expanding its STAR vertical mast range with the STAR 8 Picking, a model specifically designed for order preparation, stock management and shelving operations in logistics and distribution environments. Consistent with the DNA of the STAR range, this new vertical mast combines compact dimensions, high productivity and enhanced safety for indoor applications.

The STAR 8 Picking completes the range with a working height of 7.95 m, providing operators with easy access for daily picking tasks at height. Designed for use on sensitive floors, it is fitted with long-lasting, non-marking tires, making it perfectly suited for warehouses, stores and distribution centers.

The platform is equipped with a secure, drop-proof motorized picking tray, featuring removable side panels and a front-end guardrail, allowing goods to be lifted safely. The picking tray supports loads up to 80 kg and helps reduce muscle and joint strain during repetitive operations. For increased efficiency, the mast and the picking tray can be raised simultaneously.
 
With its compact width of 0.79 m and tight turning radius, the STAR 8 Picking is easy to maneuver in narrow aisles and confined spaces. Once elevated (up to 5.95 m), the side shift enables continued handling without repositioning the machine, improving productivity during picking operations.

2. Enhanced safety for operators and surroundings

Safety is central to the design of the STAR range. The STAR 8 Picking is equipped with lambo doors on both sides, ensuring easy access to the platform while maintaining a high level of operator protection. Opening sensors prevent elevation unless the doors are properly closed.
To improve awareness on site, the machine features an audible travel alarm and can be equipped with a Blue LED anti-collision spotlight for pedestrians*. Operators benefit from intuitive and precise controls, including warning lights and an ergonomic joystick, ensuring smooth and proportional movements for safe maneuvering at height.

Designed for almost no maintenance, the STAR 8 Picking features a cable- and chain-free mast, reducing wear and maintenance operations.
