  • Strautmann introduces the Magnon 9 forage wagon for the 2025 harvest season, designed for professional dairy farms and contractors.

  • The Magnon 9 features a 22 mm cutting length, setting a new standard for fodder quality and efficiency in a compact design.

  • It offers a loading capacity of 34 to 44 m³ and includes the Flex-Load pick-up, continuous flow system, and robust construction with Hardox tines.

  • The Exact-Cut 22 short cutting unit with 78 turnable knives ensures precise and consistent cutting quality, enhancing fodder intake and milk yield.

  • The Magnon 9 is durable, low-maintenance, and capable of handling high tractor outputs with a 3000 Nm torque protection.

  • Strautmann's Magnon series now includes four models, with the Magnon 9 and Magnon 11 achieving the shortest cutting length of 22 mm.

For the 2025 harvest season, Strautmann is presenting the Magnon 9, a new forage wagon model that is specially tailored to the needs of professional dairy farms and contractors. Wit a theoretical cutting length of just 22 mm, the Magnon 9 sets standards in terms of fodder quality and efficiency in a compact design.

"With the Magnon 11, we set a new benchmark for short-cut forage wagons on the market in 2023. Shortly afterwards, demand from professional dairy farms and contractors for a more compact machine with the same cutting length increased rapidly," explains Felix Rademacher, Managing Director of the company. With the Magnon 9, Strautmann is expanding the Magnon series with another short-cut model with a cutting length of 22 mm.

Compact design, maximum performance

With its compact design, the Magnon 9 offers a loading capacity of 34 to 44 m3. The Flex-Load pick-up, continuous flow system, chassis, superstructure and dosing unit are identical to the Magnon 8. The Magnon 9 appeals in particular to farmers and contractors who own their own machinery and appreciate the benefits of the short cutting length combined with a compact design and low weight.

Unrivalled cutting quality

The centrepiece of the Magnon 9 is the Exact-Cut 22 short cutting unit with 78 turnable knives. It guarantees a precise and consistent cutting quality, which has a positive effect on the animals' fodder intake and milk yield. The Exact-Cut knife protection system with point release and automatic reset protects the knives from damage, ensures high operational reliability and is particularly low-maintenance.

Robust and durable

The Magnon 9 impresses with its robust construction and high-quality components. The integral rotor with Hardox tines and additional reinforcement at the tip of the tines ensures a long service life and low wear. Thanks to a high torque protection of 3000 Nm, even the highest tractor outputs are reliably transmitted. The outstanding performance and easy towability of the Magnon 11 are thus transferred to the Magnon 9 without restrictions.

The advantages of the Magnon 9 at a glance:

  • Shortest cutting length on the market: 22 mm for the highest fodder quality

  • Compact design: Ideal for a variety of operating conditions

  • High loading capacity: 3000 Nm torque protection and proven drive gears

  • Precise cutting quality: Exact-Cut 22 short cutting unit

  • Robust construction: Durable and low-maintenance

Strautmann now offers four different models in the professional forage wagon segment. Magnon 8 and Magnon 10 achieve a theoretical cutting length of 35 mm. The latest models, Magnon 9 and Magnon 11, achieve a theoretical cutting length of just 22 mm. The main differences are therefore the cutting length, the platform and conveyor channel width, the power requirement and the dead weight.

The Magnon 9 is scheduled to enter series production in the 2026 season.
