The Matermaco Group is exhibiting Terex Trucks’ recently upgraded TA300 articulated hauler on their stand A2 at Matexpo, the biennial international construction equipment fair in Belgium, which starts today (Wednesday September 11th) and runs until September 15th. The updated 28-tonne (30.9 ton) TA300 incorporates a new transmission that leads to a 5% improvement in fuel efficiency and allows operators to be more productive, achieving faster cycle times, lower cost per tonne and reduced carbon emissions.

The TA300 up close

“Terex Trucks’ articulated haulers, the TA300 and TA400, are robust, simple to operate and easy to maintain,” says Luc Deleener, Director of the Industry Department at the Matermaco Group. “We have recently become a dealer for Terex Trucks in the Benelux region, in addition to being their longstanding dealer in Algeria, and we are excited to exhibit the upgraded TA300 and talk to customers about the machine at Matexpo. We have been working with Terex Trucks in Algeria for a long time, so we have a good understanding of the machines and know from our own experience that they are reliable, high-quality haulers that excel in the most challenging conditions.”

“Terex Trucks has almost 70 years’ experience developing and building reliable and productive off-highway haulers,” says Paul Douglas, Managing Director of Terex Trucks. “Our strong heritage combined with the recent investments and improvements we’ve made in our product line ensure our TA300 and TA400 support our customers in the toughest applications – the upgraded TA300 is just one example of this. We are excited for visitors at Matexpo to see the TA300 up close and learn about the latest improvements we’ve made, such as the higher fuel efficiency and increased productivity.”

Improved productivity and operator comfort

Since August 2018, the TA300 has incorporated a new transmission. The updated machine now delivers a 5% improvement in fuel efficiency, a 5 km/h (3.1 mph) increase in speed to 55 km/h (34 mph), an extended maintenance period and enhanced performance when compared with the previous model. The TA300’s new transmission comes with eight forward gears as well as four reverse gears, higher overall gear ratio spread, equal ratio steps between gears, and optimized gear shifting with partial load shifts. These features mean that the upgraded TA300 offers lower fuel consumption with smoother gear shifting and thereby higher levels of operator comfort.
