Tetrax2 series: a Concentrate of Performance with 4 Parallel Wheels!

Another novelty from Europe's main manufacturer of slurry spreaders and spreading material. The JOSKIN company, located in Soumagne, adds indeed a new model to its Tetrax2 slurry spreader range: the Tetrax2 16000S.

It is designed on the same principle as the other models of the range: the 4 wheels of the same size in a row allow to uniformly distribute most of the weight of the vehicle on the ground. In this way, ground compaction is avoided and its structure is respected!

One of the advantages of the Tetrax2 16000S is that it can be fitted with 650/85R38 wheels, i.e. with a diameter of 2,070mm, which makes the traction easier and increases the contact surface to the ground, allowing in this way to distribute the vehicle weight on an even wider surface.

They are mounted two by two on the running gear. Each pair of wheels is fastened to the integral craddle of the tank by a central axis (and this without sub-frame) and is fitted with a horizontal swinging movement in order to adapt to ground unevenness.

The height of the vehicle remains therefore very low and its stability is increased. This stability is moreover further increased by the width of the vehicle 3,230mm. It is however the only way to avoid friction between the side walls of the tyres and to have enough room between the wheels of 4x650mm wide (i.e. at least 4x680mm) even with the vehicle fully loaded.

It is one of the few reasons why the Tetrax2 16000S is a spreading tanker designed to ideally work in the fields with a spreading implement and is also an alternative for the self-propelled vehicles.

The limited weight on the axle of 10t, which is often mentioned in the European legislation, is an obstacle to the use of the vehicle for road work.

It is now possible to optimally unload vehicles transporting a 32,000l load – which is quite common in some European areas – in only two times.

With a particularly small length, the Tetrax2 16000S can be fitted with any type of slurry spreading implement in a compact way, but even with its high capacity, it still remains compact and easy to manoeuvre. This is also made possible by the standard drawbar with suspension, which further increases the vehicle compactness.

As regards the pump, the Tetrax2 16000S can be fitted with a vacuum pump with a flow up to 25,000l of air/min or a lobe pump with a capacity up to 8,000l slurry/min. They both allow to reduce the down time when filling at the edge of a field or to spread in faster way. The use comfort and the machine performance can further be increased by the 8" or 10" filling arm and by the modern Isobus control.

The Tetrax2 16000S can also be fitted with all types of JOSKIN meadow or arable injectors or with spreading booms, like the multi-nozzle or line spreading ones. The very sturdy linkage at the back of the tanker is designed to hitch (in a compact way) any type of implement close to the tanker rear wall.

The Tetrax2 16000S is very suitable for companies whose fields and arable lands are located near the farm. Among the other advantages of this tanker, there is also its efficiency and the high yield per hectare.
