The DEVELON DX35Z-7 mini excavator is highly maneuverable and versatile for digging and lifting tasks in tight spaces. The zero tail swing design with a rounded shape makes it easier than ever for customers to navigate confined or crowded worksites. The DX35Z-7 mini excavator is one of the next-generation -7 Series mini excavators and will be on display this week in booth F9153 during CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023.

The DX35Z-7 has a newly designed platform to improve structural durability and machine robustness. The redesigned model increases productivity by moving material quickly and boosts efficiency by being able to perform multiple tasks at once.

Customers can get more productivity thanks to an increase in counterweight. Integrated into the excavator design, the additional counterweight enhances the excavator’s structural durability while enabling offset digging without the need to reposition the machine. Lift-over-side capacity is also enhanced because of the machines’ integrated counterweight design.

A long arm design is available as an option on the DX35Z-7. The longer arm provides operators with greater reach, dump height and dig depth, and operators don’t need to reposition the machine as often, which improves productivity.

Attachment Versatility

The standard hydraulic quick-coupler-ready design and updated auxiliary hydraulics on the DX35Z-7 maximize attachment capabilities. The optional quick coupler significantly reduces the time it takes to switch attachments, which can help improve productivity and ensure that the operator selects the correct bucket for the digging requirements.

Auxiliary hydraulics used with flush-face couplers offer quick, easy hose connections. Adjustable flow rates help optimize the response of hydraulic attachments — including thumbs, hydraulic breakers and augers.

Standard Telematics

The same telematics system customers use to protect their larger DEVELON equipment is standard on all -7 Series mini excavators. Telematics monitors the health, location and productivity of construction equipment. Owners can access the information from a user-friendly mobile app and website. Benefits of telematics include the following:

  • Help prevent theft with a geofencing feature (GPS location tracking).

  • Avoid unauthorized use of the machine.

  • See when maintenance is due.

  • Customize alerts to the customer’s schedule.

  • Track oil pressure, operating temperature and more.

Comfortable Cab for All-Day Productivity

The DX35Z-7 is loaded with comfort features to help operators stay focused and productive on challenging jobsites. Highlights include the following:

  • Upgraded air conditioning: Multiple vents throughout the cab deliver best-in-class airflow and temperature maintenance.

  • Wider, standard enclosed cab: Offers a quiet, more comfortable environment. It also has a heated, adjustable seat, lockable storage and a full-color LCD screen.

  • High-illumination LED lamp: Provides improved visibility in low-light conditions. A full-glass door provides enhanced visibility.

  • Easy-to-use controls: DX35Z-7 controls are like those on our large crawler and wheel excavators, so operators can move from machine to machine with confidence.

  • Rearview camera: Available as an option for increased visibility behind the excavator.
