The DEVELON DX50Z-7 mini excavator is part of the 5-metric-ton size class and next-generation -7 Series mini excavators. Its zero tail swing design makes it a popular choice for customers working in confined spaces on construction jobsites or landscaping projects.

Featuring an all-new design, the DEVELON DX50Z-7 mini excavator includes an increased, integrated counterweight for improved power and balance when digging and lifting. The additional counterweight enhances the excavator’s structural durability while enabling offset digging without the need to reposition the machine. A backfill blade and a rubber track undercarriage add superior traction and flotation. Customers can add a steel track option for working around sharp objects.

Additional features customers will appreciate include integrated slew brakes, torque-limiting piston pumps and width-protection swing frame.

The DX50Z-7 is designed with a hydraulic quick-coupler-ready-design so customers can do it all with one machine. The design with hydraulic piping installed to the base of the arm doesn’t require additional accessories to install a compatible quick coupler. In addition, there is no welding required to add a thumb to the thumb-ready arm.

Auxiliary hydraulic lines are configured for easy hydraulic attachment hose connections and once they are attached, adjustable flow rates optimize the response of hydraulic attachments. Customers can add an optional second set of hydraulics when they need to operate multifunctional attachments that require additional hydraulic flow.

Telematics is a standard feature available on all -7 Series mini excavators. This equipment diagnostic tool monitors the health, location and productivity of the DX50Z-7. Owners can access the information from a user-friendly mobile app and website. The system can help prevent theft, track machine diagnostics and maintenance schedules.

In addition, the DX50Z-7 offers easy access to filters, fluids and all service points — including the engine, pump package, valve bank, cooling system and plumbing. A quick and easy machine diagnosis allows operators to monitor critical systems in real time from the LCD screen in the cab.

The DX50Z-7 includes a variety of comfort features to keep operators working all day long. Highlights include the following:

  • Standard enclosed cab with best-in-class air conditioning system and multiple vents

  • Deluxe adjustable seat that minimizes heat transfer and vibration from the engine

  • Framed, full-glass door for improved visibility to the area alongside the machine

  • Full-color LCD monitor that displays key machine data and control options

  • Optional rearview camera

Common fingertip controls, buttons and general operations on the DX50Z-7 are similar to our large excavators.
