The HD CompactLine from HAMM: Versatile, compact and cost-effective

The HD CompactLine has been a mainstay of the Hamm AG programme for many years. The compact rollers are exceptionally agile and manoeuvrable, and their “wasp-waist” front section offers unrivalled visibility. With a constantly growing number of equipment options and environment-friendly engines, the series remains at the cutting edge in 2014. At Nordbau, Hamm is exhibiting the HD 14 VV: the biggest roller in this series is an impressive performer on construction sites large and small.

The tandem rollers in the HD CompactLine weigh between 1.4 and 4.2 t, feature plenty of side clearance and are exceptionally manoeuvrable. The compact machines score especially highly on small construction sites, where they can compact roadbeds and base courses as well as standard and special asphalts. Another area of application is the compaction of non-cohesive surfaces such as gravel, chippings or even sand in landscaping. The low machine height and good handling deliver other important benefits. Last but not least, the modern Kubota engines ensure quiet, efficient compaction.

The HD CompactLine rollers from 3.5 t operating weight (HD 13 and HD 14) can also be optionally equipped with a fully fledged panoramic driver’s cab, a chip spreader or foldable scrapers to match specific requirements to a T. They are available in three versions: as a vibration, oscillation or combi roller. The HD 14 is also available as a fully fledged rubber-wheeled roller.

The HD 14, in particular, is suitable not only for minor construction projects but also for major ones. Thanks to the large roller drum diameter and a very high centrifugal force, its compaction performance matches that of rollers in the 7 t class. Especially in the version with driver’s cab, this makes it a good alternative to traditional medium weight tandem rollers and a valuable addition to any machine fleet.
