The new middle class of store loader: SL 165

For more than 15 years Grimme offers powerful and robust Store Loaders starting at 12 m to 22 m length with electro-hydraulic drive. Depending on the customer requirements they are either available with 65 or 80 cm wide belts. The new top of the range SL 165 is 16.1 m long and has a belt width of 65 cm.

The SL 165 is controlled by the GBX 820 control box, making it easy for the operator to control all of the functions accurately and precisely on the Store loader. A very robust remote control is available as an option. With the option Flow Control the operator can start or stop the whole storage line. And for an even higher output it is possible to increase the maximum belt speed from 85 m/min to 120 m/min (use for grain) as another option. The chain drive at both sides ensures an even extension from 9.8 m to 16.1 m, thus avoids jamming. The belt always runs in a straight direction which also avoids unnecessary wear.

The drive wheels are driven at both sides by hydraulic motors for constant swivelling to ensure an even store filling. The large 30" wheels drive over small bumps without problems. The compact chassis realizes a maximum wheel overhang which keeps unnecessary moving of the SL 165 to a minimum. The swivelling control is a the head end as standard and can also be fitted to the chassis as an option. The Store loader comes with automatic swivelling as standard. The SL automatic functions can include automatic retracting and extension of the Store loader, automatic height adjustment is also an available option.

Hydraulic steering is available as an option for a simple change from the drive mode into the swivelling mode. The drawbar can easily be swung out of the way, so you don't need to remove it. The counterweights are fitted at the side to avoid soil bridging under the belt. In addition, rubber straps are fitted to avoid moving over objects.

Two powerful LED lights are available as an option as well as food safe hydraulic oil.
