At the end of last month, Topcon Europe Positioning (TEP) was invited to speak at Fagligt Møde 2015, the annual Danish surveying conference. Held in the Hotel Nyborg Strand on Friday 30th January, and overlooking the impressive 18 km long Storebæltsbroen (Great Belt Bridge) which connects the islands of Funen and Zealand, the location hosted more than five-hundred Danish Geomatics professionals to gather and share their knowledge, whilst networking with colleagues from all over country.
Leighton Davies, TEP business manager for North and West Europe, was asked to talk about the Topcon perspective on the future of the surveying business. What would be the major changes and what new equipment, software and solutions could the industry expect to see in the near future?
This provided an opportunity to discuss Topcon technology, and especially the LN-100, GLS-2000 and Topcon SIRIUS Pro. Davies delivered an informative but engaging talk on our technology, with the Topcon Mass Data Collection (MDC) video (filmed on location at Bamburgh Castle in the UK) receiving a round of applause.
Focusing on the future of the professional surveyor being in the field of mass data collection, management and validation instigated some good discussions and led to some serious enquiries.
Topcon would like to thank their Danish distribution partner Topptopo for attending and showcasing the LN-100 and solutions from the Topcon MBC series on their stand, as well as showing the Topcon range of GNSS and robotic and manual total stations.
