Premiere for the TrailedLine Compact feed mixers: On the occasion of the 30th company anniversary, SILOKING for the first time presents the complete new model range with one mixing auger and capacities from 7 to 14 m³ for the use on smaller and medium-sized farms. It in-cludes among others the two “T-models“ Compact 8-T and Compact 10-T, which are characterised by particularly low heights of 2.38 m and 2.50 m, respectively. So, the innovative vertical feed mixers can also be used in smaller barns or in cramped buildings.
“All models of the new TrailedLine Compact range feature a completely revised design,“ Ulrich Hufna-gel, Responsible for SILOKING Product Management, said.
This involves first of all the wide modular chassis frame made of square bars, which provides for bet-ter weight distribution and more driving stability. The accurately fitting load cell casings made of cast iron offer pin-point and distortion-free transfer of the weight of the mixing hopper to the load cells. Together with the torsion-resistant frame, this ensures weighing precision in the long run. The draw-bar is bolted onto the frame and can be adapted to any given heights of the tractor jaw hitch.
The areas of the mixing hopper that are subject to extreme load are equipped with wear-resistant and acid-resistant SILONOX steel as a standard.
Our technicians have also further optimised the door system so that the discharge doors end flush with the hopper wall inside. Thus, the absence of any “projecting edges” considerably reduces the power requirement.
Less wear – more reliability and precision
It is one of SILOKING’s objectives to continuously reduce the required maintenance work in all prod-ucts. At EuroTier 2012, the newly developed planetary gearboxes were used in the big TrailedLine Duo feed mixer for the first time. They offer high torque absorption and an on-board lubrication sys-tem. Greasing the upper bearing is no longer necessary.
Like the big Duo feed mixers, the new Compact models can be retrofitted with a magnet any time by simply exchanging the turbo flight for a turbo flight with an integrated magnet. The magnet collects any metallic foreign materials from the feed and therefore prevents the cows from injuries.
