The Customer Requirements:

When a global primary metal manufacturer looked at automating one of their facilities, they needed to find a solution that was able to consistently move their coils through part of its production process. Their problem was that they needed over 20 metric tons capacity, with the ability to carry a large coil that is at least 400º F.

Tailor-Made Solutions for Heavy-Load Applications:

The Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) would fulfill orders generated either by the plant’s network or by push button call stations, where overhead cranes would pick up the coils. The system was designed with room for expandability, quicker Return on Investment (ROI), and safety.
