The Wiesel is already on the road to success. The manoeuvrable lift transporter has been designed for ensuring the rapid handling and transporting of swap bodies around logistics yards or terminals. Nimbler than the eponymous weasel, the vehicle stands out among other things due to its flexible adaptability in order to accommodate different parking heights, a high level of driving safety and low fuel consumption. Up to now, Kamag Transporttechnik - part of the Transporter Industry International (TII) Group - has sold more than 2,000 Wiesel swap body transporters, mainly in the DACH region. In major logistics companies, the Wiesel is also being used in France, Italy and Poland. Moreover, the demand is expected to grow in other European markets in the future.

The Wiesel is being successfully used at the logistics yards of numerous customers. These include well-known logistics companies, mail-order businesses, postal and parcel service providers as well as many industrial companies. "With the Wiesel, we help our customers to organise their intralogistics processes more efficiently and more cost-effectively," says Jürgen Dirr, Area Sales Manager and responsible at Kamag for the swap body transporter business. The leading solution on the market for in-company handling operations is constantly being optimised. In the meantime, there is now an emission-free version complete with electric drive. In addition, driverless, self-navigating vehicles are currently being piloted with customers.

Enhanced ergonomics for the driver

Market leader Kamag showcases its newly developed Wiesel cab at transport logistic. The cab, designed by Kamag together with a development partner and customer, is "best in class" in terms of driver ergonomics and usabilty. In the process, the focus was placed on the comfort of the driver. New aspects of the Kamag driver's cab are the enlarged windscreen for optimum all-round visibility and a maximum low access height. A range of ergonomic features, such as data terminal attachment options and practical storage possibilities, round off the ergonomic advantages of the new cabin.

Two versions of a successful model

At the transport logistics trade fair, Kamag is presenting the two customised versions of the Wiesel. On the one hand, the swap body transporter model with the driver's cab from Mercedes-Benz which has been tried and tested for more than two decades and, on the other, the new version of the Wiesel. The official sales launch of the additional version of the Wiesel is at the transport logistics trade fair. Consequently, Wiesel customers have a choice in the future and can opt for exactly the version that is better suited to match its respective purpose.
