Trelleborg to Take 2015 European Road Show for Tires to Austria for its Third Stop

Lorenzo Ciferri, Marketing Director, Agricultural and Forestry Tires at Trelleborg Wheel Systems, commented: "Building on the success of the first two stops on the 2015 European Road Show in Parma, Italy and Borgeby, Sweden, we thoroughly look forward to the third stop of our Road Show in Austria.”

The one-day event will provide a Trelleborg field demonstration designed to showcase the importance of selecting the optimal tire inflation pressure for specific farming operations, as recommended using the Trelleborg Load Calculator. To do so, two Fendt 828 tractors, each fitted with a cultivator combination, Regent Tukan MSG 500-2, and Trelleborg’s TM1000 High Power at different inflation pressures, will compete over a 200 meter track.

Trelleborg will demonstrate that using the right pressure farming professionals can save up to €1,419 when working 200 hectares, reducing operating time by as much as 17% and decreasing variable costs such as fuel and maintenance costs by more than 17%.

At the show, Trelleborg will also be the official partner of leading tractor manufacturer Fendt’s presentation of its new VarioGrip, a new integrated tire pressure regulation system. As a result, visitors will have the opportunity to test the new VarioGrip on Trelleborg TM1000 High Power tires.

Trials will demonstrate that the right pressure not only saves fuel, but also increases pulling power and therefore the area coverage as well. With that said, a tire with a wider footprint at a low inflation pressure is more efficient as the tire lugs work more effectively while respecting the soil.

“Whether farming professionals want to enhance their operations or protect the future of their business, the 2015 Trelleborg European Road Show 2015 provides the ideal platform to do exactly that,” added Ciferri.

The innovative tread design of Trelleborg’s TM1000 High Power, which is designed using its BlueTireTM technology, maximizes the tread width and ensures the widest footprint on the market at low pressure and an unbeatable floatation performance. This results in optimum pressure distribution on the ground to boost crop yield, while preserving soil from compaction and erosion.

Using Fendt’s VarioGrip, farming professionals can adjust the inner tire pressure as desired for field or road work from 0.6 to 2.5 bar using the Varioterminal. The tire pressure regulation system adjusts tire pressure fully automatically within a short amount of time, even while driving at maximum speed.

Trelleborg works closely with leading tractor manufacturers to develop complete solutions, to highlight how the right combination between the tractor and its wheel solution can maximize the investment and boost farming operations.
