Mowing jobs are changing. Farm professionals, especially contractors, demand better ergonomics and ease-of-use for their drivers. KUHN meets these demands by offering significant evolutions on its triple disc mower 8730.

The triple GMD 8730 disc mower returns to the spotlight with many new developments that make its use easier and improve its quality of work.

Its working width is a few centimetres larger to reach a maximum width of 8.80m depending on the selected overlap, and benefits from the latest evolutions in both the frame and the cutter bar.

Called OPTIDISC ELITE, it has the particularity of offering an increased overcut and a more horizontal mowing angle, which removes the ripple effect sometimes visible directly after mowing. This new cutter bar design also allows better behaviour in wet and sticky conditions.

FAST-FIT knives are fitted as standard. For very intensive use, hardened metal liners are available as optional equipment for the protection of disc skids, contributing effectively to the reduction of maintenance costs over the long term.

The independent right/left lift with electric pre-selection is available as standard on the GMD 8730, for increased comfort during fieldwork, in the finishing phases of the plots.

The addition of FLEXPROTECT polyethylene side guards saves on any extra repair costs. Should an obstacle be in the way, the guards bend without breaking or damaging the mower before returning to their initial shape.

The GMD 8730 can be combined with front mowers of 3.10 m or 3.50 m.

The machine can be stored flat or in vertical position to save space for winter storage thanks to its retractable parking stands supplied as standard.

Its lighter weight makes is perfectly suited to 120-130 hp tractors.
