Two new gyrotedders to top off the range: GF 13012 and GF 17012

Two new KUHN « large width » gyrotedder models, the GF 13012 and GF 17012 will gradually replace the existing 13m and 17.20m models, adding new significant functionalities.

These two models, respectively fitted with 12 and 16 small diameter rotors for improved tedding quality, will be equipped with the exclusive ground contour following device GSC (Ground Save Control). The rotor undercarriage can oscillate independently from the machine’s carrying frame. Small diameter rotors adapt individually to ground unevenness while ensuring efficient and fast forage turning over without damage to the plant cover. Furthermore, to always guarantee excellent quality of the harvested forage, wheels positioned closest to the tines allow limiting contamination with impurities (while increasing their proper service life).

The other new functionality concerns headland turn manoeuvres. By simply activating a hydraulic valve, the rotors are raised significantly allowing in just a few seconds to pass a ditch separating two neighbouring fields or to make a headland turn.

The high rotor clearance is greatly appreciated as it facilitates manoeuvres and prevents forage build-up when going over voluminous windrows.

These two Gyrotedders feature of course the « usual » distinctive characteristics inherent to KUHN tedders: DIGIDRIVE drive with multiple finger couplings, tines and wheel deflectors fitted as standard.

Moreover, with the clever folding kinematic, the machine dimensions don’t exceed 2.40m in width which facilitates entry on fields and road travel as well as provides undisputed ride comfort. Storage is no longer a concern: the 17.20m tedder does not take up more space than some tedders of only 10 m working width on the market.
