Why successful AI in equipment leasing starts with better data

Why successful AI in equipment leasing starts with better data

AI can accelerate leasing processes, but only when the underlying object data is reliable. In the second part of our series with Basikon, we examine how structured, connected data supports residual value calculations, credit assessments and faster decisions, and why technology alone cannot solve poor data quality. Two WOLFF trolley jib cranes, with jibs measuring 80m and 70m, are pivotal in the demolition and reconstruction of the Sill Bridge on Austria's A13 Motorway as part of a project led by the BODNER Group. Located south of Innsbruck, the site presents complex logistical challenges due to its position in the Sill Gorge, requiring advanced planning to install the cranes using foundation anchors and a 450-ton mobile crane. Over a three-year period, these cranes, which are positioned to accommodate tight environmental conditions like high-voltage lines and proximity to Innsbruck Airport, will manage the lifting of construction materials while maintaining traffic flow. This marks the first deployment of WOLFF cranes by BODNER, who valued not only their lifting capacity but also Wolffkran's comprehensive support. The project is executed on behalf of ASFINAG, with the new bridge replacing a nearly 60-year-old structure, and is a critical connection on the Brenner Motorway between Austria and Italy. Grove GMK6450-1 overcomes transport restrictions to dismantle tower crane in the heart of Berlin

Preparing to lift: the Grove GMK6450-1 was rigged with a 73 m luffing jib and 115 t of counterweight inside an extremely tight urban site.

MOBI-HUB used the (Grove GMK6450-1), a robust six-axle all-terrain crane, to dismantle a Potain MD 120 tower crane in central Berlin, overcoming significant transport and space constraints. With its 450 t capacity and 60 m main boom, the GMK6450-1 adapted to the urban environment through innovations such as MEGATRAK suspension, all-wheel steering, and the ability to remove and transport its main boom separately to meet the 8-ton axle-load restriction imposed by the local metro rail tracks. This project, conducted in Berlin's densely populated Neukölln district, required exceptional logistical planning to maintain schedule efficiency. The Grove GMK6450-1 demonstrated a blend of superior lifting capability, mobility, and configurational flexibility, facilitated by (Manitowoc)'s local support, to successfully complete the dismantling despite the demanding conditions.
