Austria’s most powerful construction crane is currently at the center of Vienna – not far from the Bel- vedere Palace. The WOLFF 8060.25 Cross is restructuring the European Patent Office building on Rennweg on behalf of con- struction company PORR. Planned by the firm ATP architekten ingenieure, this restructuring operation will be carried out ac- cording to the latest environmental standards, and assembling and operating the red giant will even play a significant role in protecting the surrounding flora and fauna. For your harvest of tomorrow,” the technology company Continental will present its competences and forward-looking product solutions for the agricultural industry at this year’s Agritechnica. These include products and solutions such as AI-based systems, autonomous mobile robot solutions, sensors and tire technologies that ensure greater sustainability, safety and efficiency on the farm, in the greenhouse and on the field. With its smart farming solutions, Continental will enable productivity boosts in agriculture. Highlights during the trade show will be the new herbicide-free Weed Control System, a greenhouse robotic solution, the new cleat design for raptor draper belts, the Lite version of the ContiConnect – a digital tire monitoring system –, the ProViu 360 surround view system and the NightViu Working Lights. Liebherr crawler cranes build second largest wind farm in Switzerland

In an eight-week operation, two Liebherr crawler cranes from Emil Egger AG, based in St. Gallen, Switzerland, have erected the country´s second largest wind farm. The six turbines now installed, manufactured by Enercon, are expected to produce 22 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually. An LR 11000 as well as an LR 1700-1.0 have completed the wind turbines, which are almost 140 metres high. Read more >>
