Automatic unloading & palletizing of bags: innovative solution for a known worldwide problem
This week is the world market launch of the ‘Bags handling line’, developed for Nestlé by Copal Development B.V., in close cooperation with Symach B.V. and Wemo-Techniek. This specially designed solution was demonstrated exclusively to a select group of invited guests.
Bags handling line
The bags handling line unloads jute bags from containers effortlessly, detects humidity, takes samples of the content and automatically palletizes the bags with a high stacking quality. Next to that, rejected bags, due to humidity or damage, will be automatically separated from the line. This is a unique and innovative solution for a known worldwide problem: heavy physical work when unloading and palletizing bags out of containers.
Increase productivity and cost savings
The bags handling line is operated by just one employee, which ensures process optimization, reduces operation costs and increases productivity.
Contract Nestlé
Nestlé, the largest food company in the world and leader in the field of Nutrition, Health & Wellness and Copal Development B.V. have signed a contract regarding a solution for the automatic unloading and palletizing of jute bags filled with coffee beans. A number of the bags handling lines will be operational for Nestlé in the second half of this year.
Sustainability
This partnership allows Nestlé to achieve its ambitious goals in the field of sustainability. With its mission "Good Food, Good Life", Nestlé aims to create value for society.
No physical effort
Concretely this means the employees of Nestlé will not be burdened anymore with heavy physical labour. In addition, the automation of the sampling and disapproval of rejected bags improve quality- assurance.
