360° Speed disc: Presto SD

Presto SD (Super-Duty) is the evolution of the well-known Presto speed-disc. It features with several updates made to improve reliability and performance on high yielding fields.

Presto SD is equipped with a re-designed toolbar with overlapped weld joints and more clearance between the disc gangs. The two disc ranks are 800 mm spaced, compared to the 620 mm clearance of the previous Series. Adding additional clearance, we ensure a prefect and smoother residue flow, even on high yielding fields, without clogging issues.

The hard tensile boron steel discs have still a diameter of 510 mm but a conical shape. Compared to the old spherical blades, the new discs maintain the same working inclination even when they wore out. The disc support has been re-designed in order to put more clearance between the blades and the frame. Each disc is individually suspended on the frame by silent block shock absorbers to prevent damage when hitting obstacles. PRESTO disc hubs are fitted with special 2-row angular contact bearings. The sealed hub external screwed cap and the waterproof sealing system ensure total protection against dust, dirt and moisture.

On the side of the front and rear gangs are placed two adjustable retaining plates to control residue/soil flow ad avoid any ridge formation. PRESTO SD can be mounted, semi-mounted or pull-type, with a hydraulic folding frame and working width of 5 m. The semi-mounted design takes the load off the tractor insuring safe transport with a narrow 10 ft. transport width. The semi-mounted version is fitted with a casting steel two point hitch (3° ISO and K700) which makes hook-up easy and gives great maneuverability on field. A hydraulic drawbar option is available as well.
